There is no HR for most American employees to report "harassment". In America, it is you, all alone, against the boss.

In other countries it is not that way because, theoretically, all your fellow employees can and will come to your aid, but how much help do you think actual American employees will give you against a tyrannical American boss? None.

What about if the boss is Disney? What about a boss such as Joss Whedon?

When Joss was being a tyrant while making TV and movies, no actors or writers stopped him from being awful. Now that Joss is unemployed because he has temporarily run out of creative energy and saleable ideas for comics and movies and TV, the actors and writers suddenly got brave enough to say something, except many years too late for Joss to learn better behavior.

It's not for me. I'm not an idiot that talks politics while working, and I don't go on the Twitter/Facebook bullhorn and let people know what I think either.

My employers thus far would believe I was apolitical if they're dumb, or realize that I'm smart enough not to get into such debates in the workplace if they have a few neurons firing.

You neglected to point out some hypucrisy.
It is perfectly fine to circumvent The Constitution by passing Federal Laws on Elections which Articles of The Constitution clearly reserved for the States - but it is verbotten for Congress to pass Federal Laws on Worker's Rights, such that Texas would be subject to abide?

Or, that an Executive Order might be issued in order to bypass Congress and The Judiciary?
