JSF - books are always better than movies. But I thought it’s interesting that that one scene alone was available. It conveys exactly what I think needs to be seen regardless of anyone having seen or read the whole story.
Even when I was in high school, I didn’t think we were being taught nearly enough of the important things. Definitely not the history part, which I guess we were supposed to learn in college, if we went and actually got a history degree. But even so, I still think that our general knowledge about a great many things has been intentionally limited by our “education system“
Since I’m feeling a bit close to stepping on a soapbox and going on a diatribe, I will just say that now that I’m older it really annoys me that so little of what humanity has done, experienced, and explored really gets the proper credit.

I don't recall if I ever got in any arguments with you, personally, back in the GWB days... and I certainly have no clue if we ever did during my 5 year hiatus from life, but although I was never a Democrat I was far more left leaning than I am today.
It seems like bizarro world right now. I've always been extremely suspicious of any government motives, anti-alphabet agencies, pro free speech and VERY anti-corporations. When I spent a good deal of my 20's here it seemed that the Democrats were the party that were on board with my ideas. (Or at the very least more in line with them, since the GWB admin was fekkin terrible).
Now they love The Establishment. They love the alphabet agencies. And they can't get enough of telling you that it's perfectly a-okay to curb freedom of speech entirely in our modern internet culture because it's the big corporations who are doing it (and of course because the voices being silenced are the ones they don't agree with).
Second will come right out and tell you that he's fired every Republican that ever worked for him and isn't worried about it because there are no laws against firing people for what they think or say.
Perhaps it's time to change that.

I know why you'd be inclined to believe that, but it might not be the case.
I believe the Narrative is paramount to everything, and the identity politics is just USUALLY a good vehicle for that.
Though some may be more resistant to it due to their skin color or reproductive organs, I don't believe that anybody is immune to cancel culture.
Letitia Wright was supposed to be the star in Black Panther II before she had to delete her Twitter account after being critical of the vaccines.
Like any modern "news" story, there was never any follow up to that. But if you look at the imdb page for the movie they've only got one actor up on the cast list who is "(rumored)" and it isn't her.
People were defending her while it was going on, but it should come as no surprise to anybody that it wasn't anybody in Hollywood, the Legacy Media or on the Left that was defending her.
I never saw the first Black Panther, and I don't believe I've ever seen anything she was in before either. Another case of a name I would never have even heard of had she not been cancelled. I feel sorry for her. She learned a very hard and quick lesson that the "friends" she thought she had weren't really friends at all.
And unlike Gina, who appears to truly be a strong and independent woman who will fight for herself and what she believes in, Letitia self deleted her online presence and might possibly just be swept under the rug. Maybe she'll luck out and a year or two away from the Twitter mob will make everyone forget about it... until somebody remembers and they haunt her for the rest of her life with that tweet.
