First of all, that it not what the article says and you know it, so you're lying. Again. (But we all know you're a liar.)

This is what the article shows

Did you think no one would actually look at your link, SECOND?

Secondly, "the government" CAN'T directly invest in building production facilities, THAT ... according to the rules made up by TPTB... would be outright socialism, and "we" can't have that, it's not acceptable to our oligarchy.

That's why I've posted many times that Trump could never "fix" the economy: a President doesn't have the authority to build steel mills and textile mills and chemical plants and chip fabs and cement kilns. All a President can do, under current lines of authority, is tariff imports to make them price- equivalent to USA-made goods, repatriate capital, and cross his or her fingers. A government CAN'T even invest in telecom or power grids or healthcare bc that would be competing with private businesses.

The only wiggle room a President has is to either invest in (some) infrastructure or warmarking machinery.

Those are not my rules, SECOND, yours.

This is what the article shows:

One of President Donald Trump’s lesser known but profoundly damaging legacies will be the explosive rise in the national debt that occurred on his watch. The financial burden that he’s inflicted on our government will wreak havoc for decades, saddling our kids and grandkids with debt.

The national debt has risen by almost $7.8 trillion during Trump’s time in office. That’s nearly twice as much as what Americans owe on student loans, car loans, credit cards and every other type of debt other than mortgages, combined, according to data from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. It amounts to about $23,500 in new federal debt for every person in the country.

The growth in the annual deficit under Trump ranks as the third-biggest increase, relative to the size of the economy, of any U.S. presidential administration, according to a calculation by a leading Washington budget maven, Eugene Steuerle, co-founder of the Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center. And unlike George W. Bush and Abraham Lincoln, who oversaw the larger relative increases in deficits, Trump did not launch two foreign conflicts or have to pay for a civil war.

. . . federal finances under Trump had become dire even before the pandemic. That happened even though the economy was booming and unemployment was at historically low levels. By the Trump administration’s own description, the pre-pandemic national debt level was already a “crisis” and a “grave threat.”

That article was a test for you, Signym. You are poor because you misunderstand money in profoundly stupid ways.

That is a chart YOU linked to, SECOND, so presumably you buy into their veracity.

What it shows is that Obama and Trump were on the same track, until Covid.

Also, let's not forget that Congress has something to do with it.

Here some numbers for you from Trump:

Trump said he could pay down the national debt, then about $19 trillion, “over a period of eight years” by renegotiating trade deals and spurring economic growth.

After he took office, Trump predicted that economic growth created by the 2017 tax cut, combined with the proceeds from the tariffs he imposed on a wide range of goods from numerous countries, would help eliminate the budget deficit and let the U.S. begin to pay down its debt. On July 27, 2018, he told Sean Hannity of Fox News: “We have $21 trillion in debt. When this [the 2017 tax cut] really kicks in, we’ll start paying off that debt like it’s water.”

Nine days later, he tweeted, “Because of Tariffs we will be able to start paying down large amounts of the $21 trillion in debt that has been accumulated, much by the Obama Administration.”

That’s not how it played out. www.propublica.org/article/national-debt-trump

SIX: If you haven't noticed, fuckwit, nobody has any money.
You can't put the shit back in the horse now. Bill Clinton sold us out to the Chinese 21 years ago and it's been all downhill with no way since to reverse course.
And you want to keep letting more people in illegally to bleed the country and hasten our demise.

SEONDRATE: The U.S. remains by far the richest country in the world, controlling some $105.99 trillion of wealth, or almost 30% of the entire world’s net worth. Since Americans are not willing to use their 30% to create factory jobs in America, the rest of the world will use their 70% to create factory jobs NOT in America. Trump couldn't change where factories are built because he would NOT spend the money. That leaves the Chinese in charge of building new factories, since the Chinese aren't cheapskates refusing to pay for what they want.

"Americans" are NOT rich, SECONDRATE. SOME American's are rich. SOME Americans refuse to invest in America. Blaming "Americans" for what the tiny fraction of unimagineably wealthy, white Americans (such as yourself) and their satrap politicians have done is blaming the victim, and not only demonstrates (once again) that you hate "Americans", it also demonstrates your rich white privilege. So, let's put the blame where it belongs: on people like you.

Obama's track had G.W.Bush's train wreck blocking things. Biden's track has Trump's train wreckage all over the tracks. The mess that Bush and Trump made kept/will keep Obama/Biden busy cleaning up the catastrophe so that America will be ready for the NEXT foolish Republican engineered train wreck.

So, SECONDRATE, how do you explain why Obama gave money to the banks?

Just like the deficit, the GINI also went up under Obama.

If there's any icon that needs to be taken off it's pedestal, it's Saint Obama.
