Cats and dogz being infected with C19 hav alredy been reported. And it suppozedly came from bats via pangolinz.
When it comes to animals, the question isn't 'can they get it' but 'can they infect people'. Most animals have lungs that are too small to cause any serious level of infection, for the same reason children don't seem to infect adults all that much (which, I admit, like a lot of things about the virus needs confirmation). So one would have to be very stupid with animals - lots of close contact - before one catches a virus.
That said, when it comes to the original SARS and MERS, some people are very stupid with animals.
I'm going to guess that Kiki is a cat lady and not much of a dog lover.
Is the next step in your impossible Covid eradication to start punishing dogs for being good dogs?

I'm not getting vaccinated. Neither are tens of millions of other people in America alone.
End of story.
Hope it still works out for you though.

lol
The people who want to get vaccinated and can get vaccinated will be vaccinated. They'll be protected for the most part. After that one of 2 things will happen:
1) global herd immunity will be reached, and the epidemic will be stopped
2) global herd immunity will NOT be reached and the epidemic will become endemic, and more and more people will slowly become infected, and immune, but at the cost of more deaths and disability; and the virus will continue to mutate, perhaps making previous immunity less meaningful.
I'm guessing we'll see endemic SARS-CoV-2, globally, speaking.
That puts us at the level of smallpox and polio.
And sooner or later, enough people will become acquainted PERSONALLY with the medical effects of COVID-19 on themselves, their families, and their communities. Only when enough people PERSONALLY see enough of a problem will it become an issue.
And that's when the real vaccination effort can begin, and the globe will move to eradication.
In the meantime, have fun with non-existent COVID-19!

I like dogs just fine. I even like coyotes and spent many weeks defending them against the people in my community who wanted to go around with guns shooting at them; and pointing out that coyotes were HERE because they got burned-out THERE - in the Bobcat fire.
When it comes to JO's post, I was ONLY addressing the point that wild animals might become a reservoir for human infection.
I made zero comments about the raccoons JO feeds - which btw you have an obvious hatred for. And I made zero comments because I have no way of knowing what's going on with those raccoons. They may be really well fed, they may be fine but the air might have been too cold and the cookies too dry for them to smell, they could have gotten into rat poison, or caught either cat or dog distemper ... there are too many possibilities for me to assume they have COVID-19, or anything at all.
I'm guessing you're not either a cat lover OR a dog lover? Considering you have no pets at all and you hate 'coons?
Why do you hate cats and dogs so much, Jack?

You judge people for being "stupid" with their pets.
You've obviously never owned a dog before. I love dogs. Cats make shitty pets for lazy people.
Fuck raccoons.

They're giving birth to the babies in somebody's house or garage. Maybe it's the next block over.

A likely reazon the variants are more infectious iz that they are able to survive outside a body longer. That meanz the 6 ft rule bekumzz the 12 ft rule, then 24 then a mile.
It never made much sens to me. Being down wind uv an infected person iz the danjer. And indoorz, forget it!
Breth volume iz a likely factor, but how much airborne virus duz it take?
Suppoze the virus mutates so it can liv indefinitely in the air. You coud catch it from a wisp uv breth from a sparrow a mile away.

LOL!
If there were any truth to this at all, then everybody might as well just start smoking 20 packs a day because it's all over.
You're so unbelievably stupid Ted.
