Had Hillary been president last year, the numbers would be very different and nothing would have been shut down. Our media is lying just as much as China's media is lying.
The only fallout that Biden has to deal with now is the tail end of a virus "threat" that never actually was.
Gotta try to put that shit back in the horse now is all.
Or not. Maybe they decided they like how things are going now.

In terms of total deaths per 100K, going from highest to lowest, with representative examples, it's:
Belgium(180)
Slovenia(160)
UK(148)
Czechia
Italy
Bosnia + Herzegovina
N Macedonia
US(127)
Bulgaria
Moldova
Peru(123)
Hungary
Panama
Croatia/ Spain(118)
Mexico
France
Sweden
Switzerland(106)
and so on.
Certainly there are plenty of very high numbers from around the globe. So high numbers aren't unheard of. Do you think ALL stats everywhere are entirely fictional? Or just the US?
numbers to date from http://91-divoc.com/pages/covid-visualization/

They're all fictional.
People are being paid to call other deaths Covid Deaths. Greed certainly makes that job quite easy since most can be paid off.
Then there is always threatening somebody with their nice cushy job and letting them know they're going to lose the lifestyle they've become accustomed to, their kids won't go to those pricey colleges without enslaving them to debt for life, they will probably end up divorced and cut off from their current circle of friends when they've got to go work at WalMart.
For any new hires, let's say in the last 20 years or so, they've been informed that they signed various NDAs when they signed on to their current job, and not only will they lose their jobs and never be hireable in the only sector they're qualified to work in, but they'll be sued into oblivion if they open their mouth.
If you think that Healthcare is any different from any other corporation out there, you're greatly mistaken. They're being stuffed to the gills with cash over all of this.
"Just shut the fuck up and write Covid-19 in the cause of death spot".
And forget about other countries. Even the "free" ones aren't free. Nobody else has the US Constitution. And besides that, with how we've meddled in the affairs of the rest of the world since the 1950's, I don't think we're garnering any sympathy from anybody when our alleged death toll is twice that of the next country.
We just need a Snowden on this one. Somebody who is willing to lose everything to tell the truth.
But the problem is, the media would immediately call them a Russian Spy, or a Conspiracy QAnon nut, or dig up something they did in their past to discredit them. Or maybe simply choose not to cover it at all. It is possible that several people have come forward, but nobody knows that they have. They've lost everything, all for nothing. Maybe they even Epsteined themselves. They almost certainly did. Don't need loose ends out there with a huge chip on their shoulder now, do we?
Oh... and those suicides would, of course, be "Covid Related" deaths.

Oh, and at the end of the day, if every single Covid-19 death were somehow not bullshit, the listed known cases in the US now stands at 25,298,405... with the deaths at 421,239.
That's 1.66%. That's only 4 times higher than your seasonal flu. The human race didn't do too shabby fighting off a brand new Chinese manufactured virus without any previous immunity or any help from needles.
And there's still the possibility that 10 times as many people have it, meaning that well over 2/3rds of the country might have already gotten past it without any outside help.

That's 16X higher than your seasonal flu.

Is it then? Even still, not bad considering it was "novel" and we had zero defense against it, compared to the "seasonal" flu that we all have some resistance to, assuming we're healthy.
Since I don't buy any of the numbers in the first place though, it's not even worth comparing at all.
I'm not going to get back into arguments with you about any of this. You're free to have your own opinion on this mess, and I'll do the same. You're never going to change my mind on any of it, and I'm sure that I'd never be able to change yours either.

For the next few months of the vaccines’ rollout, we face a classic economics problem: too much demand and not enough supply. But in a few months, we will have the opposite economic problem: too much supply and not enough demand. Back in December only 42 percent of Texans indicated they would sign up to get a vaccine. If a large plurality of Texans and Americans decline to get it, we may be unable to achieve the 80 percent herd immunity that public health experts say is necessary to stop the pandemic.
How would an economist solve that problem? I asked economist Robert Litan of the Brookings Institution, who says we should pay people a lot to get the vaccine.
“I think if you tell people $1,000, and then especially for a family of four — that’s $4,000 — you’re talking real money. And I think at $1,000 you could get (anti-vaccine) people to switch,” Litan said.
He also proposed that all citizens would be given, say, $200 upfront, with a promise of the other $800 when the United States achieved 80 percent vaccination.
As Litan explained: “So what that does is it gives tremendous incentives to tell your friends, whether in real life or on social media, to go out and get the shot, because then we can all get the money.”
I love his idea. It would get us to herd immunity fast. It uses “market incentives” as a carrot to induce desired behavior. The $300 billion or so it would cost would be a lot cheaper than the massive and complicated federal bailouts we’ve already resorted to.
Medical ethicists, however, hate this idea. Although small payments would be appropriate for the sake of convenience — such as transportation or a snack —the large payments suggested by Litan would be considered coercive. It is apparently not OK to ask people to choose between not putting something in their body and taking a payment of $1,000. So there are ethical limits to applying an economic or markets perspective to the conundrum of vaccine rollout.

Wrong. It's already quite possible that 60 to 70% of Americans have already gotten it and recovered from it.
You take your shots. The rest of us will be fine.

If the virus keeps outrunning the vaccine, there will be 5,000,000 fatalityz in the US befor everybody got it.
That iz unless a major chunk uv the population alredy got infected and didnt notis AND either gained long term immunity or maintain the same rezistans that kept them form getting sik the 1st time.
Unfortunately the evidens iznt pointing that way.

Everybody ain't going to get it, so hopefully this virus behaves like every other virus and didn't come from space. Otherwise, hide your kids... hide your wife...
