Serenity the Book
Keith DeCandido who has written several Star Trek, Andromeda and Spider-Man novels, has been hired to write the novelization of the upcoming Firefly movie, Serenity. The book is scheduled for an April 2005

So has anyone posted an explanation for the Serenity novel cover picture? Who is the blonde behind River? (she doesn't appear in the near identical publicity photo that is posted on the Official movie site)

Several people. It's a promotional cover, not the real cover that will be used, and the blonde is a fan that managed to get her picture taken with the crew.
