I happen to think he may be right. I think there needs to be a serious investigation into the vote, and recommendations on how to make it more transparent and secure. All of the "decisions" to accept the results were hasty, politically motivated, and done without investigation.

I know about chain of custody, I've been involved in multmillion dollar lawsuits ... the kind where the litigating attorneys bring their photocopier and photocopy every scrap of relevant paper that they can find (took 5 days) saved your the lab with questionnaires, and subject our analytical process to audit samples, and scour our email server for anything that may help their case.
What was done was a whitewashing. Our vote deserves better, don't you think?

If votes are data, then you should know there's a difference between verifying data - the lowest level of scrutiny, which is what's been done in a very, very few select cases - and validating data, which is the highest level of scrutiny, which has never been officially done.
You know, the CalTech/ MIT Vote Project has been calling for vote validation for YEARS, specifically through a thorough statistical analysis of the votes.
