With idle tales this fills our empty ears;
The next reports what from the first he hears;

Each author adding to the former lies.
Here vain credulity, with new desires,

The dubious whispers, tumults fresh designed,
And chilling fears astound the anxious mind.

While the foundations of the USA tremble under the force of unprecedented vote fraud, color revolutionary operations, and the danger of a renewed fascist takeover of the Wall Street-Big Tech-NSA/FBI/CIA combine, certain facts must be separated from fiction.

* Despite the mainstream media announcements of Biden’s victory, the fact is that things are far from certain as President Trump has made the point that he will fight all cases < https://twitter.com/Bre

* Despite mainstream media assertions to the contrary, there are indeed growing mountains of evidence that vote fraud has occurred among democrat-controlled swing states which have either given tens of thousands of Trump votes to Biden via “glitches”, < https://www.breitbart.com/poli

* Every opposing narrative to this political lie is being surgically shut down, such as the immense censoring of the President’s Twitter account and cancelling of the “Stop the Steal” Facebook group that garnered over 350 000 members in only 24 hours. It's a long article but the reason why I posted it is because we think that everything is new. But we've merely been repeating history.

Well, I couldn't decide if this belonged in the "Debunking Megathread", the "Fallout" thread, or the "secret plot to depose Trump" http://www.fireflyfans.net/mthread.aspx?tid=63062 thread, because it has a little bit of all of that in it.

If you care NOT to listen, the summary of is that Barr is doing establishment republican work, and that establishment Republicans wanted to ditch Trump this election. As evidence, they say that Barr ended Russiagte only bc it was negatively affecting the GOP as a whole (for example, in 2018) but Barr has failed to prosecute any other malign actions against Trump despite mountains of evidence. Also, that he appointed Durham as Special Prosecutor IN EARLY OCTOBER but didn't tell Trump or any of the WH staff so that Trump could not get a bump out of that event, but only announced it AFTER the election to remain a continuing threat, and GOP leverage against a Biden Presidency.

AND FINALLY, that he waited until just before Trump's case went to the Supreme Court to announce "no significant fraud" after no real investigation.

All of this tracks with events that have occurred,

They also imply that the establishment GOP wanted to use Trump's coattails (which they did successfully) but had a secret agreement with democrats NOT to challenge the vote-by-mail fraud, providedd that the dems only used it against Trump and not against any of the downballot republicans. And THAT provides a clear explnation as to why Biden "won" the Presidency even though the Dems lost a huge number of downballot races.

Still tracking with events that have occurred.

As to the fallout (both short-term and long-term) from this, I'll have to get to that later.

So, now for the fallout speculation.

GOP anticipates a "red wave" two years from now, in the 2022 election.

I'm not sure that's going to happen, since the 2020 "red wave" occurred on Trump's coattails, and Trump probably won't be leading the charge in 2022.

The only way that an election will occur unmolested ... ie. untainted by fraud from either the Dems or Repubs, or (more accurately) tainted by fraud to which BOTH parties agree ... is if the repubs and dems run "establishment" candidates. Now, the establishment dems (DNC) have shown that they can scrape off their populist left wing for the Presidency (and prolly for Senate seats as well) but establishment repubs lost their grip on the Presidency in 2016 ... something that they don't intend to let happen again.

But if the GOP puts up candidates that are unacceptable to their populist wing (consisting of registered repubs, independents, and some dems) - a wing that Trump coalesced and energized - then that group of people is likely to stay home. It partly depends on how strong that wing is (I believe quite strong) and how successfully the GOP can bamboozle people into voting for establishment candidates running as populists.

So I expect a stalemate in 2022, or more "blue votes" in Congress.

In the longer term ... 2024 ... if Trump is still capable and interested, he could make another run for President and win, unless the GOP pays REAL attention to the discontents of the flyover states. If not Trump, someone else with credible anti-establishment history ... Rand Paul or Jim Jordan or Michael Flynn, for example .... might try running as populist, and win. Or at least muck up the GOP vote.

Because everything that's gone wrong with the USA will STILL be going wrong in 2024, even if they gain control of Covid-19. Remember that Occupy occurred on OBAMA'S watch, which means that you can't fool all of the people all of the time, and no matter how much support Biden* and establishment politicians get from corporate media, if the shoe still pinches, the shoe still pinches!

In my dreams, I imagine a Paul/Gabbard independent ticket, but that's not likely to happen.

Trump firing Barr would actually be an oddly fitting bookend to his presidency. Why? Because the most consistent through lines of Trump's presidency have been:

1) A belief that the entire federal government is designed to carry out his whims.

2) A demand of total fealty -- to the point of absolute ridiculousness -- from those who comprise his inner circle.

Now, Barr has done any number of things that have benefited Trump -- from offering backup to his unproven claims about the danger of mail-in ballots in the run-up to the election to his attempt to have the Department of Justice take over the defamation suit brought against Trump by E. Jean Carroll.
But too much is never enough for Trump. (That would make a good book title. Ahem.)

Because Barr was unwilling to a) push the Durham probe to announce its findings before the election, b) prosecute high-ranking Democrats for non-proven crimes relating to the 2016 election and c) say there was widespread fraud in the 2020 election, Trump has turned on him.

Because Trump turns on everyone. That's the lesson of his presidency (and his life). Firing Barr would just re-prove that fundamental fact.

The Point: Trump may not ultimately wind up firing Barr. But that he is considering it is just so, so on-brand.

Speaking of suspect vote statistics ...

Turnout really was historically bonkers in 2020
https://www.cnn.com/2021/01/29/politics/turnout-2020-record-voting/ind
ex.html

Supposedly 2/3 of all registered voters came out to vote. The implication is that even though Trump got a lot of votes, so many MORE EXTRA voters came out for Biden* that he won the popular vote.

But there's a problem with that. Supposedly ticket-splitting also dropped again, to less than 5% of the vote.

So how did Biden* get so many popular votes, while at the same time non-ticket splitting Biden* voters ended up rejecting so many democratic* Representatives? (Democrats lost 10 seats in the House, Republicans gained 15 due to filling vacancies.)

It's a mystery.

There's no mystery.

The Establishment gets what the Establishment wants.

They had 4 years to prepare for this, and when nothing else was working they unleashed a not-scary virus to terrorize people with and destroy the economy so they could pull their little David Copperfield tricks.

Oh well. We'll survive Biden*.

Democrat lawmakers on Thursday introduced a bill dubbed the “Vote at Home Act,” which seeks to “massively expand vote-at-home ballot access,” enacting automatic voter registration and providing voters with pre-paid ballot envelopes.
