Getting around the paywall and to a link to the CDC report, this article is NOT confirmed.
FIRST OF ALL - there is no listing of "heart attacks" on the CDC website at all. So pretty obviously either the author (Jim Hoft*) is very confused about those 26,557 deaths, or is lying in his representation of the CDC report.
The CDC DOES list 'cardiac arrest', but that simply means the heart stopped beating - which is not the same as a heart attack.
SECOND - these are listed as CONTRIBUTING CONDITIONS on the 'death certificates' - not the primary cause of death. So once again, either the author is confused about those different kinds of listing, or lying.
