DVD Commentry

First off, FIREFLY RULES!!! It's only been on for 7 eps (I'm Australian, so yeah) And After "Our Mrs. Reynolds" I just had to have the DVD box set...which i got for X-Mas ^_^.

Anyway, I've been watching the "New" (For me) eps, But before i watch the Last Disc, I watched/listen to all the Audio Commentry.

In the ep "War Stories", Nathen (Mal) and Alen (Wash) were talking about Simon and River, and they said that is is explained in the Audio of "SAFE" But Safe dosn't have audio commenty...Is this the Australian Reliese or Did they just stuff up?

Hey Dirx. Welcome to fireflyfans. Always nice to see another new browncoat.

Must've been a slip up in regards to the Safe reference (of course, now I have an excuse to go and re-watch War Stories with commentary - always looking for an excuse ). Unless it's very well hidden, Safe didn't have a commentary track for the Region I DVD.

The guys were joking around. I thought it was pretty obvious.

Hey DBell46. Yup. The Honorverse is one of my favorite ongoing series.

Don't know if you've had a chance to pick up the latest book, The Shadow of Saganami . It's out in hardcover now. It doesn't really add any info on the war with the Peeps or Honor herself (she does appear at the beginning in a brief cameo). The book instead deals with Helen Zilwicki's middie cruise and takes place in the Talbott Cluster (the new terminus junction discovered in War of Honor ). There's some familiar faces: Abigail Hearns, Mateo Gutierrez, Ginger Lewis, Estelle Matsuko and HMS Warlock (and maybe a few more that I missed).

I don't know when the next book will come out. But I'm definitely looking forward to it.

You need an excuse to re-watch it? Why bother with an Excuse....oooo...Firefly is on tonight ^_^..."Jaynestown" if i'm not mistaken.... Going to watch it with ads...Odd... At the end of the eps on TV, it has serenity doing that cool Flearing thing, like the names in the open, but on the DVD it's the Execative producers insted...still doing fleary thing. and the Mutent enemy Guy/thing is Diffrent...Its a bigger gray area...

Part of the joke was the off-handed remark about there being an audio commentary. The creators have consistently said it was their least favourite episode. Why would they have made a commentary for it? It costs money, time, and resources to make commentaries. What reason then would they have for not including it?

Guys, it's not that hard to figure out that they weren't serious when they mentioned a "Safe" commentary. Interpreting everything someone says as literal is easy if you don't employ (not so) critical thinking.
