As I posted, I looked at both videos on detail, tried advancing them frame-by-frame, and listened to the audio (enhanced and otherwise). I didn't see ANY indication that Reinoehl and either Pappas or "Jay" Danielson even exchanged words, much less had any kind of altercation.
I believe that Reinoehl committed "suicide by cop". Reading the tea leaves, I suspect that he knew that between the video, audio, and witness statements his story of "self defense" wouldn't hold up, and he either was so afraid of going to jail that he forced the cops to shoot him, or he was so committed to his cause that he felt he would be more useful as some kind of martyr rather than being convicted of homicide and bringing disgrace to the cause.
It's the only explanation that makes sense to me, but I could be wrong.

Which brings me to ask, AGAIN - why do police use additional restraints (dog-pile, neck-restraint, prone positioning, Tasers, etc) on people who are ALREADY in handcuffs?
