Possible Mishandling Grounded Firefly On FOX

Sad but true. I work with a bunch of fairly
intelligent people. Electrical Engineers,
Computer Engineers, ASIC designers.
What do they watch?

American Idol.
Survivor.

Yeah, they just won't shut up about it.
I love working with these people; but
sometimes you just feel like punching
their lights out.

Seriously, I wanna know who watchces this stuff and whether they know the damage they're doing to quality television.

I can tell you two people who watch this crap: My housemate and his girlfriend. The TV, and its contents are the biggest source of conflict in our house. He wont give anything intelligent a chance, especially nothing remotely related to Buffy, Joss, etc. But the two of them live for shows like "The Bachelor", "the Great Race", "Why FOX thinks their entire viewing audience is made up of Dumbasses", and other such shows.

Grr... Aargh.

I think that fox should admit that they were wrong for cancelling the show due to its growing popularity and put it back on on there old time slot.

Fox definitely dropped the ball!

I just joined here because I found out today that Firefly was cancelled. WTF?! This is one of the most clever science fiction shows to hit the air and they are getting rid of it? The show is very well-written and has a great cast. It certainly is better than anything else on Fox, IMHO.

What amazes me is they are going to replace Firefly with just another cop show. Blah! I'm very disappointed in Fox for being so short-sighted once again. I think this is a big mistake and can think of about 10 other shows that should have been cancelled before this excellent series. Totally senseless! Typical of Fox.
