Being a rational human being and a responsible community member: the hardest work one can ever do, because it requires taming the swell of outrage and righteousness that wells up in everyone.
What I'm reading is just blame-shifting. In their view it's the victims fault (who may or may not have been paintballer) that he was shot and killed, but it's an outrage that someone being chased by a mob, some of whom were armed with real guns, turned and fired on the mob in self-defense.
Right now, there is NO EVIDENCE that THIS PARTICULAR man who was shot and killed was doing ANYTHING to justify the violence aimed at him. Maybe that will come out later, but from the info that I have now, it was purely an unjustified act of murder, no matter how BLM/Antifa tries to spin it.

Atkins dismissed the idea that civil rights had “ever gotten wins” from “peaceful protests.”
“Winning has come through revolts. Winning has come through riots,” she said.
“The only people that can undermine our movement are the police, our oppressors, and then us when we don’t believe in the people that we’re fighting with,” she told the station.
“If anyone is attacking this city, it’s them,” she insisted of police.
“And anybody who is rising up and saying, ‘We won’t take this anymore, we’re going to do what we want’ — those are the people that she should be trying to protect, and those are the people that she should be getting outraged for,” she said.
Atkins had no sympathy for the businesses damaged in the spree, which included a small convenience store likely to go out of business after being looted twice in 40 days.
“The fact that anybody gives a s–t about these businesses over what is happening in this city right now and the pain that people are in and the suffering that is taking place, I don’t care,” she admitted.
Ariel Atkins told WBEZ that her group “100 percent” supports the violent looters who trashed chunks of the Windy City on Monday, again repeating her claim that it is “reparations.”
“The whole idea of criminality is based on racism anyway,” she told the NPR station.
“Because criminality is punishing people for things that they have needed to do to survive or just the way that society has affected them with white supremacist BS,” she said.

Well, there's one ore point to make:
I realize that TPTB have been looting our economy, our society, and the world for decades.
But the answer isn't to become looters too. If EVERYONE is a looter, who makes thestuff that people need in order to live? You can't have a society of looters!
Just to digress... I was in high school during the height of the hippie movement. When we were told we should "Turn on, tune in, and drop out", Some of my classmates used to brag about howmuch money they collected by begging on the street. But even then, I recognied the fallacy for what it was: The only way the hippies survived was by being parasites. And just as we can't hve a society where eveyone is a looter, we can't have a society where everyone is a parasite.
What we're seeing now is a reaction to the MASSIVE unfairness in our economy. (Even monkyes have a basic sense of fairness!) But to propose that we should all become looters and parasites cedes our ethics to the looters and parasites in control of our society. The answer is to make things fair, not to ape TPTB.
