A remarkable and nightmarish scene playing out in Portland should terrify anyone who cares about the US constitution

Look's like the kid has already had over $100k raised for his legal fees, despite GoFundMe taking down several fundraisers for him.
A legal team which includes lawyers behind the successful cases for Sandmann vs. lying Legacy Media will be defending him as well, and he won't be stuck with public defenders who's job it is to lose cases.

The way the police encouraged Rittenhouse’s vigilantism is a microcosm of some of the most fundamental problems in American policing.
Police in Wisconsin told armed militia members that “we appreciate you guys.” Some new research helps us understand the police's irresponsible behavior.
In footage from about 15 minutes before the shootings pieced together by the New York Times’s Visual Investigations team, you can see Rittenhouse walk up to an armored police vehicle and chat with officers. A police officer pops out of one vehicle’s hatch and tosses bottles to Rittenhouse’s associates, members of an armed militia. “We appreciate you guys, we really do,” the officer says before driving off.
The young-looking Rittenhouse is under the legal age for firearm ownership and was carrying an assault rifle, which appears to be a misdemeanor under Wisconsin law. Instead of stopping him and asking for proof of age, the police give him water and an attaboy. And when he tried to surrender after the shootings, the police went right by him, even as bystanders were telling them that Rittenhouse had shot people.
How can we understand this behavior? Why do the police in Kenosha seem perfectly fine with armed militia members patrolling the streets — behavior that, just minutes later, ended with two people dead?
A recent paper by University of Arizona sociologist Jennifer Carlson offers some insight into the police’s behavior. She conducted dozens of hours of interviews about guns with 79 police chiefs in three states — Michigan, California, and Arizona — to try to better understand the way police see armed civilians.
“Police chiefs articulated a position of gun populism based on a presumption of racial respectability,” Carlson writes. “‘Good guys with guns’ were marked off as responsible in ways that reflected white, middle-class respectability.”

There’s a reason anti-police violence protesters have been met with crackdowns, while armed anti-lockdown protesters could menace the Michigan Capitol without incident.
When respectable-seeming white people arm themselves, police welcome their intervention — even, or perhaps especially, in a tense situation where the potential for escalation to violence is really high. But guns are in the “wrong hands”, according to the interviewed police chiefs, when the hands are black and brown ones.

If reports are to be believed, Kyle was running away. You can't "retreat" any more than that!

, self defense cannot be used as a defense against murder charges if you were committing a crime at the time you used lethal force.
Aside from being white, that is?

Quote:He is 17, which is below the age for carrying a rifle. And his other thing was killing two people. That might be a crime, too, but no one can be sure without a dozen lawyers in a courtroom discussing the details for days or weeks since laws are different everywhere in America. At this point, Signym, you should start complaining about lack of evidence and where is the proof?

So his crime was that he was running away while carrying an illegal weapon.

Yup.
And in Illinois there is no law against a minor owning a rifle, so despite claims to the contrary from people who have already deemed him guilty without trial, it is very likely that this gun did belong to him and not a friend or family member.
So while ignorance of the law is no excuse, in this case the law being that a minor is not allowed to have a weapon outside 20 minutes north of where he lives over the state border unless they are on the way to or currently at a firing range or weapon safety lessons, a good lawyer is going to have something there.
In any case, poor Second/Marcos will end up being very sad when they find out this kid won't be rotting away in prison all of his life.
And the first thing I would bring up in the trial if I were his lawyer is that the State of Wisconsin is both going to say that he cannot own a weapon as a minor but they're going to try him as an adult.
Can't have it both ways.

IF YOU THINK THIS IS A REPEAT POST ABOUT AN OLD INCIDENT IT IS NOT. THIS event happened IN SEATTLE, the other happened IN PORTLAND.
IT IS ANOTHER INCIDENT OF 'PEACEFUL PROTESTERS' TRYING TO BURN PEOPLE ALIVE INSIDE OF A BUILDING

SEATTLE — Seattle police officers were forced to kick their way out of an East Precinct exit door Monday night, after rioters jammed it with boards and rebar, and attempted to seal the door closed with quick-dry cement.
As the door was being jammed, surveillance video shows several other people building a fire outside the building near the exit door, in an attempt to set the building on fire.
"I think what this shows you is that these people are intent on killing police officers," said Mike Solan, president of the Seattle Police Guild, who called the act '"clear domestic terrorism.'"
"We're being held hostage by a group of 100 to 150 people that are bent on destroying this city and hurting police officers," Solan said.
Solan said a short time later, the Guild headquarters also became the target of three firebombs. "Our surveillance video captured two individuals scouting our location for several hours," Solan said.
Surveillance video from that location shows one of the firebombs bursting, igniting the building's rear stairway in flames, before officers were able to extinguish the fire.
Solan said officers are dispirited when no- one in city leadership denounces these attacks.
"That's why it's incumbent upon our elected officials to put a stop to this immediately," he said. "How can city leaders be so feckless? It can't just be on the officers. This is an absolute overthrow attempt of some of our government institutions, and police are in the way. They or the officers will get hurt or killed so they can put forth that agenda."
Solan believes the attacks on officers will escalate, but officers must focus on jobs outside of protecting themselves and their buildings from arson attacks.
“They’re not going to bully us into submission,” he said. “They’re not going to bully this community into submission.”

Yup. They're straight up murderers and the Legacy Media is 100% to blame for it.
Uncle Joey just tweeted the following 5 hours ago:
Quote:
Remember: every example of violence Donald Trump decries has happened on his watch. Under his leadership. During his presidency.
What violence Joe? You, your Democrat leadership in the country's largest shitholes and the Legacy Media have spent the last 3 months telling us that there isn't any violence.
And furthermore, now that you're admitting that there is a problem, WTF is he supposed to do about it? He doesn't have the legal and/or Constitutional authority to send in the storm troopers, and said Democrat leaders who have been denying that the "protests" weren't anything but "peaceful" this entire time have made it very clear that they don't want Trump's help and they want to defund the police.
Fuck you Biden. Fuck you Democrats. Fuck you Legacy Media.
Enemies of the People. All of you.

One way to end chaos is with overwhelming force. But it has to be overwhelming: you can't have anywhere near- equivalent forces, otherwise you'll just have a firefight.
Wow - that wreaks of fascist problem solving! You wish Trump would roll the army in - your dream scenario.
And no, that never works unless you want to break society. Hey! That's you!

Sorry, I never called to defund the police. In fact, I said the opposite. You even quoted me an agreed - talk about sh*t for brains. Take a nap or go buy some milk - you're cracking up.
