Fallacy of Relative Privation

The fallacy of relative privation, or appeal to worse problems, is an informal fallacy which attempts to suggest that the opponent's argument should be ignored because there are more important problems in the world, despite the fact that these issues are often completely unrelated to the subject under discussion. A well-known example of this fallacy is the response "but there are children starving in Africa," with the implication that any issue less serious than that is not worthy of discussion; or the common saying "I used to lament having no shoes, until I met a man who had no feet." The word whataboutery or whataboutism has been used to describe this line of argument when used in protesting inconsistent behavior. e.g. "The British even have a term for it: whataboutery. If you are prepared to go to war to protect Libyan civilians from their government, then what about the persecuted in Bahrain?"

Sig and kiki love to do this. If you have to do this it's because you are on the losing side of the argument. In this case. They want to deflect away from how badly Trump fucked up.

Stupid people don't know they're stupid, and they certainly don't realize how obvious it is to others.

Why would hospitals across the country and/or the CDC suddenly misattribute causes of so many deaths? Why did morgues and funeral homes suddenly have trouble finding places to put dead bodies? Why would governments across the globe suddenly all fake causes of death? Do you have any cites to back up your claims?

I know - been watching this thread. What brains he hasn't flushed down the toilet are definitely not functioning properly, even for him. Try to have a rational discussion but he bolts or insults or both, just like many times earlier in this thread.

This is Trump's Amerika - lots of irrational, pissed off people all over the place. It's what he does - The Great Divider.

I think we're doing pretty OK considering that Democrat "leaders" have ensured that 28 million people are out of work.

7,808 people die in America every day.

Going to need to see some proof of this claim.
