Though they found no antifa event, a biker at the statue shouted that he’d received a phone call about some nefarious activity in the cemetery so the crowd rushed to converge on a single man wearing a Black Lives Matter shirt.
The man told The Washington Post he was a pastor visiting his ancestors’ graves. He filmed himself being harassed by the mob, who lobbed homophobic slurs at him, threatened to beat him up, and called Black Lives Matter a terrorist group. Police arrived and encouraged the man to leave the park. “For his own safety, federal law enforcement made the decision to remove him, and he was escorted out of the cemetery,” said Gettysburg National Military Park acting public affairs officer Jason Martz.

On Right-Wing Violence in Texas, Media’s Silence Sends Message

Hank Gilbert, the Democratic challenger to Rep. Louie Gohmert in Texas’ 1st congressional district, held a rally in Tyler, Texas, on July 26 against federal law enforcement agencies’ recent intervention in Portland, Oregon. But armed participants of a “Back the Blue” counter-protest crashed the event, beating and robbing attendees in the park. The attack injured a number of rally attendees, including Gilbert’s campaign manager Ryan Miller, resulting in at least two police reports being filed so far.
Videos (KETK, 7/26/20; Tyler Morning Telegraph, 7/26/20; YouTube, 7/29/20) from the scene show the majority of counter-protesters wearing Trump attire, with many also carrying American, Confederate and “Thin Blue Line” flags. In images posted to Facebook by Gilbert, one counter-protestor’s “white pride” tattoo is clearly visible. Many can be seen toting military-style rifles. Counter-protestors consistently expressed pro-Gohmert sentiments, at times drowning out Gilbert’s attempts to speak with chants of “Louie.”
These people are violent, filled with hate, and can't be educated or reasoned with. They are rabid dogs, and will end up being handled as such. Just witness for yourself how evil and thuggish they are. Reichwing terrorists, nothing more.

... are wrong. But worse than being wrong, are IRRELEVANT. Racism isn't causing our problems - and btw neither are sexism, Russia, or the GOP/DNC. Racism is a symptom, not the disease. Just like sexism isn't the font of all of our woes, and neither are the political parties or any foreign government. We could get rid of ALL of it: racism, sexism, ageism, foreign influence, and both political parties, and we would be no better off than we are today. All we would have would be a racial, gender, age, and political party-balanced clusterfuck.
When are you going to start posting about something real for a change?
