QAnon, coronavirus and the conspiracy cult - BBC News

QAnon is a far-right conspiracy theory detailing a supposed secret plot by an alleged "deep state" against U.S. President Donald Trump and his supporters. The theory began with an October 2017 post on the anonymous imageboard 4chan by someone using the name Q, who was presumably an American individual initially, but probably later became a group of people

Satanism and sex rings: How the QAnon conspiracy theory has taken political root
https://www.latimes.com/politics/story/2020-07-15/qanon-conspiracy-the
ory-congressional-candidates

A fringe theory that President Trump is at war with a global cabal of powerful, Satan-worshiping elites who control the world and run a child sex ring has shifted over the last three years from anonymous message boards to Trump rallies to the 2020 ballot.

More than 60 current and former congressional candidates have promoted or embraced the unfounded QAnon theory, according to a count by Media Matters, a left-leaning research site that tracks conservative media.

Though some of the candidates have gone viral over unproven claims — including the false theory that Beyoncé is pretending to be Black and weaves Satanic references into her music — few of them have any chance of being elected. The fraction of candidates linked to QAnon who have done well in competitive seats have distanced themselves from the theory.

The QAnon conspiracy theory is founded on the belief that the world is run by a powerful group of evil politicians and celebrities including the Clintons, the Obamas, the Bushes, George Soros and Hollywood celebrities including Oprah Winfrey and Tom Hanks.

QAnon followers believe President Trump is aware of this and is fighting against an entrenched “deep state” of bureaucrats within the government to bring them to justice. They call the moment when the Clintons and other members of the cabal will be arrested “The Storm,” a term inspired by an offhand comment Trump made during an October 2017 photo-op with high-ranking military officials and their spouses. “You guys know what this represents?” Trump asked the news media. “Maybe it’s the calm before the storm.”

Alex Jones seems to hate Q Anon ...maybe this 'Q' thing, its taking his 'tinfoil headed truther' viewers or listeners away

While a different Alt media guy and radio host John B Wells, Caravan to Midnight show and host of Coast to Coast AM, he is a tv actor and has an aviation interest, appeared on London's BBC Radio 1; Hamburg's HIT95 he seems to push the Q anon conspiracy? John B Wells although 'conspiracy' would have been classed as more moderate and grounded than Alex Jones infowars

Qanon is an emergent right wing death cult that claims a satanic cabal of wealthy left wingers are secretly running the US, and that Donald Trump and the right wing fringe are combating them in the shadows, that only an enigmatic and all knowing prophet named Q can speak the truth about these things, and that he does so by posting gibberish on 4chan.

It's a nutjobby combination of the satanic panic, blood libel, various antisemitic tendencies, and the reptilian crazies that emerged from the post infowars crowd on 4chan as a hoax (with the original Q poster being unmasked some time ago as a 4chan administrator) but it gained overwhelming popularity with unstable fringers who don't get the joke, who've incorporated it into a miasma of fundamentalist christian heresies and begun treating it as a literal religious dogma mostly unrelated to actual posts by Q with, unbelievably, thousands of followers. Those followers are decentralized, completely unaware they're in a cult, and all seem to think they're still following whatever religious faith they originally professed, despite literally revering Trump as an angel of God. They exhibit weird mood shifts when posting- to one another they're damn near euphoric about their coming victory and whatever nonsense word salad was in the latest "Q-drop". To anyone they perceive as left leaning they go into a state of diaphragm straining rage about "BABIES BEING RAPED". They spend a lot of time thinking about children being raped. Like, a lot of time.

Unfortunately, because it's gained a lot of followers on the hard right scene, it's begun to attract the sort of politicians who want that vote bloc, which means we currently have real senate candidates who believe (or claim to believe) and act on the belief that billionaire George Soros is trafficking adrenochrome harvested from kidnapped (implicitly white, or they wouldn't care) children as a satanic ritual to unseat Trump, the avatar of an archangel.

No, I'm really not kidding.

Sometimes Faith is weird you will always have people who just 'believe'

The belief seems irrational

'Androchrome' has been mentioned in movie fiction? its like a weird Satanic Aztec sacrifice thing you would read from Piratenews, conspiracy about Elite and Hollywood Blood-Harvesting Conspiracy...C9H9NO3 produced by the oxidation of adrenaline...there is some mention of it in hollweird the movie, 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas' a character Dr. Gonzo brings a bottle of adrenochrome to Vegas, a drug that Duke takes to get high or go Psychedelic, it also feature these alien Lizard looking things based on a get high LSD 1971 stoner drug addict novel by Hunter S. Thompson, stars Johnny Depp and Benicio del Toro

There is a Conspiracy channel on Vlare dot tv that covers this topic
Make Me Believe - Ep 18 - Adrenochrome
https://vlare.tv/v/s8CKhzXj
These type of conspiracy they seem to morph or recycle other fringe ideas?

The Q-Anon beliefs?...i still dont get what they are following
So they are a team of 4chan Anon hackers we were told a while ago but also inside the military, conpiracy seems bogus or dumb? Seems like a Cult and They seem to think Q Plus or Q + is actually the Pres? President talks to Q, does any of this make sense, something also coming known as The Storm and 'The Great Awakening'

apparently some Q-anon predictions same true, i suppose if you make thousands and thousands of predictions eventually some might come true?

is Q-anon more real or more accurate than say 'pirate news'
