Just to get back to the OT for a second - I'm still wondering what's so bad about putting America first.
Sometimes, the way to get greater benefits is to act in coordination with others. Sometimes it's to compete with them. And sometimes it's to ignore them and do what you need to do irrespective of others. Those are all mechanisms to achieve a goal, they aren't the goal itself.
But the GOAL should be to benefit Americans. Because isn't that why America was created? To be a "government of the people, by the people, for the people"? Or, if you go back further in time a government constituted by- and benefiting of- "We the People of the United States".
Why is stating that a problem?
