I realize that statement alone isn't entirely true.
To make it true, I would propose a little thought experiment by just asking one simple question:
How do you know when it is a white man that was attacked by a minority when reading about a reported attack?
I'll answer that for you if you really need the answer. But I'm going to bet that you already know the answer to it if you're honest with yourself.
