Last night, in a tightly packed auditorium in which almost no one was wearing a mask, Trump protected himself from the virus by having everyone he interacts with tested daily. He was standing at a safe distance from the crowd, alone on stage, and more than 10 feet from a separate podium set up for other speakers to use.
If Trump wants to demonstrate that testing really is, as he has said, “overrated,” and there is no need for Americans to fear infection, he could start by no longer requiring anyone who gets close to him to be tested first, and get back to shaking some hands at his next rally.
The president’s effort to pretend that the viral outbreak has been contained, which no doubt encouraged almost all of the young activists in the hall to crowd together without masks, even extended to telling them at one point that the United States, in the past two months, has lived through, “hopefully, the end of the pandemic.”
Trump also repeated his false claim that the spike in new cases in states that have pressed ahead with reopening businesses without meeting the benchmarks for containment released by his own coronavirus task force was merely a statistical blip caused by more widespread testing. As he did, someone in the audience reportedly shouted out, “Stop the testing!”

Can't anyone see what's coming? He is in the buildings. I'll be amazed if he doesn't show symptoms within the next week or so. Dead in a month most likely.

I guess it's OK to have people packed cheek by jowl to demonstrate, riot, and loot, but not to go to a political rally?
Well, the hypocrisy of the left is stunnng, but in both cases O just look at them and think ... Like lambs to the slaughter.
Most likely most of the young people won't get terribly sick, but many of the older people will, and some will die. And that's stupid for Trump, because older people are his base, and he's chipping away at it with his own policies.

How sad is it sig equates one thing that has nothing to do with the other, in a desperate attempt to deflect for Trump. How sad is it that she does it in a way to suggest some here believe that riots are ok, all the while knowing that's a lie.

The governor of Washington State, Jay Inslee on Monday just issued a order that all citizens when going out wear a mask.
Washington State recorded over 600 new cases on Monday.

Sure, that makes sense. If we test less, we’ll look better. If we lift the emergency declaration, it means everything is OK. As long as people die without anyone making a big fuss about it on TV — which is Donald Trump’s only gauge of reality — then America is great again.
The White House, naturally, denies they’re planning to do this, but I assume we all know what a White House denial is worth these days.

Neighbors had about 20 kids over today. Not sure if it was a "finally our kids can be kids again" party or a birthday party. Good for them.
Seems like life is getting back to normal around these parts. And there never was any violence, rioting or looting here either.
That's what happens when you don't live in a Democrat ran shithole of a state and county.

Who's the "shithole country" now? The United States is included on a draft list of countries whose citizens would be blocked from entering the European Union as European countries lift travel restrictions and lockdowns. The U.S. would be included on the EU list with Russia and Brazil, where the coronavirus responses have been similarly dysfunctional.
