At first when I saw those fences being brought in for the WH, I laughed and thought what a coward and how appropriate - walling himself off from the rest of the world like he does in Mara Lago - only the wealthy elites and people with political power and LOYAL to Trump are allowed inside. IOW, a majority of Trump voters would not be allowed. Ironical.
Then I started wondering if those fences are a signal of things to come...? I saw mention that this might be a trial to see how far these anonymous, American "little green men" without names or insignias, could go dominating protestors. How much can they get away with? How much violence could Trump inflict and not pay too high a price in the polls?

A senior Department of Defense (DoD) official told CBS News that on top of requesting deployment of troops, Trump yelled at Esper for breaking with the president when the secretary opposed the use of Insurrection Act. The 19th century legislation would allow the president to deploy the U.S. military nationwide for domestic law enforcement.
