Okay. I am going to try and use a memory stick in a bit. Wish me luck.

Thanks to hubby's energy and skills we re-installed dear daughter's built in bookcase yesterday. It had been removed at our request by contractors over two years ago so that we could paint the walls, but since we took out the carpet and added hardwood floors and a baseboard it no longer stood flush against the wall. So hubby added a 5" base and did a little cutout for the baseboard and now it's once again attached to the wall.

I was just helping, and I was beat at the end of the day!

I figured out what to do with all of the old (and future) avocado leaves. When I went online to look at leaf shredders I saw they were mostly string trimmers. Well, I have a string trimmer, I was just going to stick it into the pile a shred away, but I see that others have had the same idea and its better to put the trimmer in a 65-gal bin and put the leaves on top and let 'er rip! That way the leaves are contained and shred better.

I tried it out in one of my 33-gal bins and I get amazing bulk reduction (10:1 at least) so now all I need to do is wait for the trash truck to come tomorrow and empty out my bins so I can work on reducing the old pile and use it as mulch. I'll be ready for next year too!

Unfortunately not going too. Another soggy day here.

I just got some pictures on this thing that I downloaded off the internet that I don't want to loose is all. Nothing major.

Drizzly morning here, too. Crazy weather! But I was going to irrigate the property anyway so I added my 0.5" of irrigation to the 0.1" of rainfall.

Unfortunately, when I went to take puppy-wuppy out for a brief potty break, I stepped carelessly into a puddle in the gutter, and BOOM! Down I went!

I KNOW that those shoes are slick in water, I've "almost" fallen several times but with wild arm-waving managed to right myself, I just forgot. I can count the damage as one skinned knee, one broken blood vessel in the heel of my right hand, and (unfortunately) a wrenched right shoulder. It doesn't hurt if I just keep my elbow at m side, but it's going to be a problem with yardwork, or anything else.

So, I took a nap! It was great!
