No, it was some online recipe website - allrecipes I think - by some famous chef I never heard of.

ETA - if you could post your mushroom soup recipe somewhere, I'd appreciate it!

Storm by storm, we're inching our way up closer to normal rainfall.

Thank you Great Spirits and Lady Rain.

Though NoCal and especially OR and western WA are still sadly dry. I hope they get extra rain to help out the plants, especially the trees, and rescue them from the various pine bark beetles, or it could be a really bad fire season coming up.

SIG, great on the rain for your area.
Got a stretch of dry weather coming my way. Which will be nice.

SIGNY: Thank you Lady Sun!
Glad to hear your weather is dry, for change!

BRENDA: Yup, suppose to last most of this week. News people joking with the weather lady that her Spring blouses are what is helping.

Hey, tell the weather lady to keep on keeping on! Yanno, whatever it takes to keep the sun smiling down on you!

They are telling her that.

Forgot to mention when I was in my local grocery store yesterday the firing alarm started pinging. The person making the announcement about it was too close to the microphone and was hard to understand. Finally what the person was saying came through enough for me to understand them.

Some idjit decided to smoke near the smoke alarm and set it off.

A lady wearing a mask asked me what was going on and I told her and she said, "As long as they aren't locking us in." and went about her business and I finished mine.

I don't think I've EVER been in a store when the fire alarm went off! I wouldn't even know what it might sound like.

Fire alarms going off - that seems to follow you around!

Just kidding. Still ... you've had more than your share lately.

The one for the whole mall this grocery store is in makes a pinging sound as I mentioned in my post.

It does sort of seem like that.

Happens in this mall every so often. Most people ignore it because it is someone being stupid.

Over the last year since I moved, I have.

Also in his briefing today Preimer John Horgan has added one more thing to his essential services list. Just for this weekend. The Easter Bunny has been declared an essential service. BUT the Easter Bunny must follow Dr. Bonnie Henry's guidelines on social distancing when delivering eggs and of course washing his paws.

Something to put the children of BC at ease and I am sure the rest of the country has followed suit. Including the Prime Minister.

Well, I think this last storm system might have brought us up to normal rainfall. They were predicting about 0.4" each day for two days, a break, and just shy of 1" on the fourth day, but I've been checking my "rain gage" and we had almost 1.5" on the first day, a little over 1" on the second day and ... as I look out the window, about 1.5" today. That will total up to somewhere in the realm of 4" or possibly a little more.

Not much snowpack, but we sure did get rain!
