Random observations.
Even here in Green Bay, I hear everybody talking about the stores out of TP. Last evening I went to Dollar Tree for some stuff, and noticed the paper aisle was not empty. Not overflowing and falling onto the floor from the shelves, but the shelves were not barre. Gobs of gallons of bleach as well.
Our 3 Walmarts and 3 largest grocery stores are now closing at night just so they can stock the shelves.
I know some kids who work at these places, and word is that the warehouses are stuffed with TP, but the truck drivers are refusing to deliver them, the stores cannot get any truck drivers who will transport the product. I don't know if this is fact, but several folk have said this is the case. supposedly they are afraid of getting hijacked with a trailer full of TP. This is tickling my ridiculous bone, but maybe it is true.
Dairy does not get delivered once per week. Even the smallest convenience stores get it every 2-3 days bigger ones every day. If the store opens at 5 am, the milk delivery is within an hour after that. Yes, I have seen many weeks in a row when a store will be out of milk within 12 hours of delivery, but getting there before noon should fix your problem, unless everybody who is sitting at home has solved this puzzle, which I doubt. If the warehouse/dairy producer is out of milk, that is a different thing, but I expect they can overcome this difficulty.
Folks keep saying Purell is able to kill the virus. But I looked at a bottle today, and nowhere does it say that it has any alcohol in it, let alone a percentage. If it doesn't say it has any alcohol, does it still have it? Seems a goofy lack of labeling.

Quote:Looks like I did not specifically state that the asymptomatic are driving the spread. Bu that is part of what I was trying to put forth, although I called them "carriers" instead. I am NOT saying that kiki has not already mentioned it before, I was just trying to put it all together.

I'd like to point out a possible summary or outlook. This may be controversial, and perhaps even 6ix may disagree.
I will specify several assumptions as baseline. If these concepts are disruptive to your chosen religion, please do not bother reading past it.
1. Human Immunodeficiency Virus exists, and has for centuries.
2. HIV does not cause AIDS, in the Real World.
3. HIV is spreadable thru intimate contact, such as fluid exchange.
4. COVID-19 has 4 insertions of section of HIV sequence spliced into the DNA/RNA. 3 of the insertions are from one strain of HIV, and one insertion is from another strain of HIV. These insertions spliced into the genome of COVID-19 provide for great recognition and docking characteristics for the virus to infect human host cells.
If all of the above is true, it is foreseeable that COVID-19 will enjoy widespread infection of the human population.
It will become common, like the common cold or common flu.
With known cases, America has proven that it can be controlled and treated - the problems in America have been the unknown cases, the community spread cases, the cases that CDC refused to test for until autopsy.
In America, the known and treated cases have had a ZERO percent fatality rate. The only deaths are from those who carried the virus for a while before getting tested, and mostly also infected others as well. None of the cases that we airlifted in have perished, nor have they infected others once here.
So, Like HIV, it can spread easily, but with a larger target population than HIV. Spread of HIV does not cause a spread of AIDS, and spread of COVID-19 might not cause a spread of raging deaths, unless they are untreated.
More than 80% of those infected with COVID-19 are merely carriers (and are apparently under age 80). They do not get violently ill, critically or seriously ill. An overburdened Health care system does not need to deal with these mild cases.
The seriously ill can get the therapy needed, and then once over it, on to the next case.
How many of these, what percent of the population which become serious cases, and whether they health care system can, if triaged properly, handle them, is not yet answered. This could be overburdening, but then it will have passed, perhaps.
I'm not sure how much of this will play out, but it seems a possibility.
Hope I explained it well enough.
I did not elaborate that I feel the community spread is not any real mystery, it likely came from all of those who traveled from Wuhan in December and January, and encouraged to spread as much a possible with the CDC refusing to test patients with the virus. Unless, of course, the virus originated in U.S. before traveling to Wuhan - and just misdiagnosed widely in America. I do not have any special evidence of this community spread theory, just an overview observation of the numbers.

Quote:I expect this is nothing new for her. I expect she has encouraged full Government Control at every opportunity, and every turn. More Government control. Bigger Government. Expand Government. Government good, honest working folk bad. She has been a Democrat for a very long time, been a devout follower of all required facets of the Democrat religion, and has chosen to spend her life in a Democrat hellhole. No need to ride anybody right now, this is what they have believed all of their lives.

As the DNC (Does Not Care) party mantra goes, never let a good crisis go to waste - get more Government Control out of it, More Government funding, Bigger Government, more expansive Government.
As for Nationalized Health Care, Universal Health Care, Government Health Care, etc - this is what the vaunted Italian system is, and they have 1/3 o the ICU beds per capita as the U.S. does. Their Death Panels are overwhelmed with decisions of who to kill and who to treat. Their individual hospitals are overwhelmed with death decisions of who to kill or let die, every floor of these hospitals is overwhelmed with who to kill, and each doctor or specialist is overwhelmed with decisions of who to kill - socialized Health Care is the Utopian model. They also mentioned that some specific hospitals in their nationalized system (like Lombardy) are even more better funded and equipped than other hospitals in the same system - where everything is equal.

So possibly this topping-out reflects the number of tests that can be performed. The CDC is promising it will have the testing snafu worked out ... any day now...!

Separately, Here in WI we have 2 new cases, up from 0 active. In Pierce Co and Dane Co (Madison.) Both cases are from traveling in America.
These 2 cases were from travelling in unspecified locations in America, but both were in spots with current community spread (CA, WA, NYC).
Yesterday 3 more cases in WI. 2 in Fond Du Lac County (south end of Lake Winnebago) and 1 in Waukesha Co (western suburbs of Milwaukee, and wealthiest County in WI - a Firefly restaurant is there.) 1 of the FDL cases was from travel in US, the other 2 were from international travel to known hot spots.
Today 2 more cases, in Dane Co, both having contact with the 2nd WI case, found earlier this week in Dane Co (Madison).
New cases reported Friday:
1 more in Dane Co - UW-Madison Vet School person who just returned from a country with widespread cases.
2 in Milwaukee Co - the first (downtown) had close contact with another confirmed case, the second (North Shore) had just traveled in Europe, had close contact with a confirmed case.
1 in Racine Co (south border of Milwaukee Co) - just traveled internationally.
3 in Sheboygan Co (east border of FDL Co, 2 counties north of Milwaukee).
4 more in Fond Du Lac Co.
WI still has no identified cases of "community spread" - just some cases from States with community spread.
I heard rumor that 3 of the new FDL cases were in Oshkosh. That would be the southern city of the Fox Cities which populate the north end of Lake Winnebago (such as Appleton, Menasha, Neenah, Kimberly, Kaukauna, Greenville, Grand Chute) - and which extend to within 6 miles of Green Bay.

2 more in Waukesha Co
4 more in Milwaukee Co
1 in Winnebago Co - this is the north end of Lake Winnebago.
For a tally of 26 active cases, 27 total.
WTF is wrong with these people!!
This thread started 20 Jan.
I think everybody was aware by the end of Jan.
MSM says that none of these cases n WI are community spread.
We are 2 weeks into March now!!! This is 55 days gone by!!
If there has been reports of an 8-week incubation period, or even a 6-week incubation period, then this report has slipped past me.
So all of the current known cases in WI are from these jackholes who travel to countries to get infected with the virus, then sneak back into WI without following any of the rules - such as self-quarantine, for instance - so they can infect as many of their friends, family, coworkers, neighbors as possible.
These people should be thrown into a concentration camp together so they can all just die, like they deserve.
1st case in Wood County (Wisconsin Rapids, Marshfield)
1 more in Milwaukee Co, total of 7.
5 more in Fond Du Lac Co, total of 11. I heard other MSM report that several of these FDL cases were from an Egyptian River Cruise.
Wisconsin has 72 counties. Active 33 cases as of Sunday:
Dane - 5
Milwaukee - 7
Waukesha - 3
Racine - 1
Sheboygan - 3
Fond Du Lac - 11
Wood - 1
Pierce - 1
Winnebago - 1

I heard that Tom Hanks and his wife got the Wuhan Virus from the previous hotel guest in the hotel room that they stayed in.
Good advertising for THAT hotel!
