Quote:The Imperial College of London predicts the peek number of deaths comes at the end of summer. If true, coronavirus will not have been forgotten by then. Number of dead? Depends. Could be 2.2 million. Could be half that. Or the Imperial College could be completely wrong. In 6 months we will know. In 8 months there will be an election.

If this virus turns out to have been overblown, which I've predicted all along, and life eventually goes on pretty much normally after the panic has subsided (WHICH YOU SHOULD BE HOPING ACTUALLY HAPPENS IF YOU'RE REALLY THE GREAT GUY THAT YOU PRETEND TO BE), it will all go away in a few months and people will forget about it completely by the end of summer.

Coronavirus and the 2020 election: a collapsing economy is a disaster for the incumbent
Here’s what political scientists have learned about how the economy influences presidential elections.
Is the cratering economy going to damage Donald Trump’s chances of reelection? It’s a complicated question with no simple answer, but the signs point to yes.

What you like to see is people dying and the economy tanking so Trump doesn't get re-elected.
I wouldn't take any polls too seriously while people are cleaning out shelves in the stores everyday. Odds have been ridiculously in Trump's favor for reelection since the beginning. If I were Trump I'd be a lot more concerned if this was the middle of October, but the year is still early.

Two political handicappers say the Electoral College map now leans toward Democrats
In the past five days, two of the most prominent non-partisan political analysts in the country have released new projections that show presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden with a clear edge over President Donald Trump in the Electoral College map.
"The President is an underdog now in his bid for a second term," wrote Stu Rothenberg, founder of the Rothenberg Political Report, in a column published late last week. "That doesn't mean he can't win. It simply means that he is in a more difficult place than he was before, in part because Democrats have united behind a consensus candidate who has potentially broad appeal."

Fake news.
It's because there is a global pandemic that the Legacy Media has spent a few weeks scaring easily manipulated people into thinking that the end of the world is upon us.
Meanwhile, the aggregate still has him at 44.5% approval, which is near his all time high, and they've obviously forgotten about both how senile Biden is and how ruthless Trump will be in a debate.
And Democrats aren't doing themselves any favors holding up funds that were all but promised to the American people 13 days from now. Nancy Pelosi certainly isn't doing Democrats any favors by trying to write her own stimulus bill from scratch with the clock ticking either.
Good luck.

Meanwhile... in reality.
Trump's job approval rating hits 46.7, an all time high since he was elected.
His disapproval rating has fallen below 50. Also a first since he's been elected.

Don't look for opportunism here either. You're going to have to figure out another way to get Trump out.
And don't forget that Biden ain't it. Biden is running against himself and always has been. The less he says about anything the better his chances are. Trump is going to destroy him in the debates. And the Bernie Bros are probably going to start burning shit down to say I told you so when that happens.
