Happy Homeless Persons Day

This is the day when we celebrate the those pioneers of the last frontier. The homeless. These people, proudly reject the comforts of shelter to embrace the cold, lonely streets.
Without the homeless there would be no soup kitchens. Without the homeless Legal Aid would be a shadow of its current power and status. Without the homeless shopping carts would be relegated to use as shopping carts. Without the homeless tons of good edible foodstuffs would rot, wasted in trash dumpsters around the globe...perhaps attracting pests and vermin. Without the homeless liberals would have no way to express their guilt or prove their moral superiority. Without the homeless there would be no low paying menial jobs for illegal immigrants. Without the homeless there would be no one to witness back ally murders on NYPD Blue and Law and Order. Without the homeless drivers would have to wash their own windows. Without the homeless people would have one less reason to be thankful during the holidays.
So thanks homeless man and homeless woman. Thanks homeless children. Tonight I'll toss an empty soda can out the window just for you.
