Welcome to the board Snowguard! Glad to have you w/ us. It's always a pleasure to have a new Browncoat onboard.

As far as excusing your "tardiness", perish the thought. Better late than never, right?

Since you are new you can go back through the archives to search topics of interest to you using the link that Soupcatcher was kind enough to provide. If you do not find anything, feel free to post questions or observation here in the general forum area. People here are kind and will not "ignore" your posts as some might believe (looks at TLACook). We are a friendly bunch & even if it is something that has been discussed before, we are always happy to chat about the show and the upcoming movie. Some may even post links to take you to archived threads covering your topic.

Again welcome!

Welcome Snowguard! Always nice to meet a fellow browncoat! As for where to start, there's a lot of good stuff at www.browncoats.com (check out the bloopers section -- maintained by yours truly -- under the episodes section)

Jayne, your mouth is talkin. Might want to look into that.

Yes, I think it was wrong for the network to pull the show so early, as there some much obvious potential for further development. Yes, I know there's Serenity, and that Serenity isn't Firefly.

Oh, I like you already.

Welcome aboard, mate! Tardiness is never an issue around here - we like Newbies!

Tell me, have you had any Firefly moments - such as, driving to work and a song makes you think about the show, or perhaps a moment of aggravation at work had you spouting some Firefly-ish sort of lingo?

Fans come and fans go...but zealots are with you until the bitter black end.

A rather shiny welcome to you. Snowguard.

Some of us have been here so long we forget that there are still "newbies" to be welcomed. Trust me, this is is the place for the Firefly Fans. The name says it all. We're a more or less jovial bunch & most any discussion started is bound to get a response or two if not more. I'm kind curious to hear your "Objects In Space / Star Wars" ideas. You might start a thread with that idea. We'll talk about almost anything. This is not just a "board", it's really a community. And newcomers are always welcome.

Welcome, SnowGuard!
The folks 'round here are mostly harmless, and the ones that do bite, well, we keep them on a shorter leash. We ALL love the show here; you are among friends!

Well, I have to learn to remember that not everyone online is rude and hostile to outsiders. Thank you all so much for such warm greetings. I'm not certain that there is much more I can say about the show that hasn't already been mentioned. I have noted that there is a lot of fan fiction produced, and while I'm normally not partial to it, what I've glanced at so far has me intrigued. If nothing else, the cancellation of the series has seen creativity blossom in a number of writers out there, and that's never a bad thing.

You mean how I've started using 'Gorram' and 'Shiny' in speech? Something I'm sure most have done. The only song that make's me think about the show is the theme, which I've been singing pretty much constantly for the last week. The most noticable thing for me is that my annoucement on the PA system at work have gained a good deal of informality, as well as what could best be described as a 'twang'. My normal speech pattern would often make one think I'm British. (Merely an Australian raised by a mother who instilled the proper use of the English language) The first time I 'relaxed' the boss stared at me as if I'm been sneaking into the Christmas punch. It wasn't a bad thing, and from what I can tell, he's happy that I'm loosening up a little.

You have all indeed been most welcoming. I think I'll find myself a bunk and sail along for a bit.

I'm a little late, but I'll add my welcome as well. Of course, I've only been here for about a week and a half, but everyone has been so great to me I want to pass it on.

Packer fans welcome.
All others tolerated.
