It's hardly a blowout for Uncle Joe though. Did you bother looking at the percentages? There are a LOT of pissed off Bernie supporters right now who are having flashbacks to 2016.
Voter turnout among Democrats is going to be at a historic low in 2020, and as Moody's predicted that's going to mean a blowout for Trump.

No... I'm afraid there are far too many variables here.
I don't think this said much about Trump at all. It was much more likely a referendum on the far left wing of the party... The Sanders/AOC/Gang of Four/Cenk Uygur's Justice Democrats, etc...
But even saying that is tenuous at best, because of the nature of Virginia's Open Primaries.
They're just about as Open as you can get, with the only restriction being that you can't vote in both primaries.

I've said before on here my plan to vote Democrat in the Primary, but the laws in Indiana may keep me from doing that based off of how I voted in the 2016 general, even though our Primaries are considered "Open" as well. There is no such restriction on Primary voting in Virginia.
While everything your article here claims could possibly be true, it's much more likely that up to half of those who voted in the primary yesterday were people who are going to vote for Trump in November.
They know that they live in an important state in the election, and they are reminded every day of that. It's very likely that Republicans voted against Bernie because his brand of Socialism is scary to most people in this country, and on the off chance that Trump loses in November they'd feel much more comfortable with more of the same than wild left politicians gaining ground.
