Batman won't.
Political power isn’t enough for the right. It wants cultural power. Joker is their movie. To the extent that you see real power changing in America, you see it in culture rather than politics. This is why people find Black Panther infuriating — it has nothing to do with the content. But you get all of these responses like, “Why do I have to like this? Why is this being rammed down my throat?”
The next Joker movie could be a crossover with Judge Dredd. When the Joker kills with scissors to the eyes, for one example in the previous Joker movie, Judge Dredd kills Joker with scissors. Then Judge Dredd travels through time to stop Joker at an earlier murder, arriving too late, but not too late for Dredd to execute Joker in the same way Joker murdered his victim. Then Dredd goes to the next murder scene to stop the Joker, but again too late and so on and so on until Joker murders his own mother by suffocation with a pillow as happened in the previous Joker movie. Only then does Dredd try a new way to punish Joker. You’ll have to see the movie to learn the clever way Dredd kills Joker. You will laugh at his death and Joaquin Phoenix will win another Oscar.
The next Joker movie will easily make $2 billion in ticket sales!

A movie about mental illness and mass murder is now celebrated by right-wingers as high quality entertainment. It must be great, the right-wingers argue, for why else would it make a billion and two Oscars?
"Joker" has sparked many conversations about mental illness. But while the movie gets some things right, it also gets a lot wrong, according to psychiatry professor Dr Ziv Cohen.
Cohen, who specializes in violence and psychopathy, told Insider that "Joker" strengthens the incorrect stereotype that there is a link between mental illness and violence. Also, the Joker is probably not diagnosable anyway. He said the Joker doesn't fall into the criteria for diagnoses like schizophrenia or bipolar disorder. He is more likely to be a psychopath, but even that is reductive.
"Some of the greatest crimes in human history were committed by persons with no mental illness or evidence of psychopathy in their daily lives," Cohen said. "I think the Joker character forces us to grapple with this innate human capacity for evil, which is ultimately unexplainable, and which is fruitfully explored in works of art."

Joker doesn’t fit into the neat and well defined political boxes which the left would have us believe. Actually, if you look at the true narrative of joker, it falls more in line with the 99% crowd who protested Wall Street a few years ago.
And Internet fairytale was fabricated that tied this movie to some sort of white male anger… As it turned out, there were no mass shootings in theaters as so many on the left had hoped and projected.
Even going back to the aurora Colorado shooting, which took place at the opening of Batman, the shooter himself had nothing to do with joker. He was just trying to find a big selling movie to unleash his evil. It didn’t matter what movie it was.
Everything that the pansies on the left said joker would be turned out to be exactly opposite. That alone is reason to celebrate.

Cashing those Social Security checks is tough. You should probably look into direct deposit.

We know. You love to kill people.

Joker "was" their movie. Sonic the Hedgehog is their movie now.
Not "The Right". Everybody but the extreme SJW Cultural Marxist Left.
The difference between Political Power and Cultural Power is on full display here. Unlike in Politics, nobody is being brainwashed that going to see a movie or not going to see a movie is going to be the end of the world as we know it.
That being the case, the vast majority have spoken quite easily here. The Cultural Marxists keep putting out flop after flop after flop in the theaters, on traditional television and on Netflix and pay the price for it because the vast majority isn't going to pay to see their bullshit anymore.

I don't recall Rappy or I complaining at all about Black Panther. You're going to have to dig up those quotes for me.
I didn't see it, but I didn't see the last two Avengers movies either. I've seen a total of seven comic book movies since Iron Man one came out over a decade ago. Iron Man, Avengers 1, Avengers 2, Guardians of the Galaxy 1, Deadpool 1, Shazaam, Joker. I don't recall if Nolan's Batman trilogy came before or after Iron man, but if it did add two since I saw the first two Batman flicks and skipped the third one.
Most of them are shit. Even the ones I saw.

Okay. Sure.

It probably will. It probably won't be half as good as the first one too.

Quote:The Joker shows excellent self-control. He can be swift when he needs to be but he can also control his behavior and 'act' whatever parts suits him. That is not at all consistent with bipolar disorder.

Joker is a very lucid thinker, can pull off incredibly complicated, well-orchestrated villainy, is highly motivated, and is able to interact with others at a very high level (i.e. manipulate them). In addition, he shows no evidence of delusional thinking at all. That is not at all consistent with schizophrenia.
The Joker does not meet the diagnostic criteria for mental illnesses or disorders that sometimes — albeit rarely — explain unlawful behavior. Even labeling him a psychopath does not fit him. Psychopathy isn't an official diagnosis in the DSM-5, but basically falls under the criteria for antisocial personality disorder. It's associated with charm, manipulation, callousness and the ability to tell the difference between right and wrong but having little care in practice.
Joker is not mentally ill, except in a philosophical sense. What I mean is that philosophically, we can argue that a person who deliberately disregards morality is acting in a manner that is 'insane,' that the behavior is totally contrary to all that most humans believe and the rules that make society work. But from a psychiatric perspective, these people do not have a disease. It is a personality trait.

You have a problem with your brain being missing. That statement is exactly 180° opposite of what is true.
Joker is their movie.
OK, boomer.

Second still doesn't get that the movie Joker is about Arthur Fleck, and not about "The Joker".
Maybe he'd get it if he watched it instead of repeating reviews he read on Vox and Mother Jones.

Quote:Joker is not a biographical movie. Arthur never existed. Joker never existed. And for most of his life Joaquin Phoenix plays characters that never existed. There is really nothing there, inside the movie. It is all going on inside your head. The movie is like radar bouncing off the inside of your noggin. A signal comes back telling the world how empty your head is according to how you react to this movie. I'm getting back a very steady and strong signal that says AURaptor and 6ixStringJack are hollow men fascinated by an empty movie about a nonexistent character.

Again, posted unironically on the 'Cinema' forum @ Fireflyfans.net
Second - your attempted jabs and insults MIGHT have more sting if your views had more legitimacy to them.
But they don't.
Say what you want about Joker, but it did receive 11 nominations from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and won 2 Oscars, including BEST ACTOR. All while hauling in more than a billion dollars at the box office.
That may not be much, but as Captain Mal might say... " It's enough "
So 'empty '.
