Second. Unless you are weaving the manga backstory into the movie, I don’t recall that Alita was sent to kill anyone. I don’t understand why you were trying to conflate nova from one universe with a the joker comparison. What is your point?

Alita has a flashback to a training session in zero gees. Michelle Rodriguez holds a knife to Alita's throat, telling her this is your enemy, then a hologram of Nova is shown. Much later, but just before Alita cuts Grewishka's head in two, Alita speaks to Nova, calling him her enemy.

What's my point? Nova deserves death, but at least Nova has some redeeming traits (at the end of the manga, Nova gives Alita the greatest gift, what she had always wanted -- she gets reincarnated as a human.) Joker deserves death, but he has no redeemable traits or abilities or gifts to give. His entire life is worthless, from beginning to end. He only exists to show that Batman has enormous self-control for not killing the Joker every time Joker kills again and again, over many movies and comics.

It wasn't "Joker's" personality problems. It's not even the same Joker that was portrayed by Jack Nicholson or Heath Ledger.

It was Arthur Fleck's personality problems.

It was the mental issues of a middle aged man who had been beaten down his entire life by his family and by society. For 9/10ths of the movie he was not Joker.

Even when he asked Murray to introduce him as Joker, he was not Joker.

Even when he admitted to killing the three Wall Street guys on the train, he was not Joker.

Arthur Fleck became Joker when Murray asked him if he was serious, and he made the realization and admission to himself that "I've got nothing left to lose. Nothing can hurt me anymore."

You can see that he's crying about it as he tries to laugh through it. When he says "My life is nothing but a comedy", Arthur isn't there anymore.

I'm going to ask you how you think that your own irrational thoughts make you any better than Arthur Fleck. You have suggested to me on no less than two separate occasions that I should kill my boss and steal everything he owns, and you have suggested that everybody not in the 1% should do the same.

I think you're projecting here. I think you're afraid of Joker because you see far too much of yourself in him. You know that he's bad, but you know that you are as well. Watching Joker is like looking into a dark mirror...

and it scares the shit out of you.

Do Right, Be Right. :)

I think you're confusing with fans liking the MOVIE Joker with fans liking JOKER, the character.

It's just a well made movie.

Geezus, get over it.

You'd make a great defense lawyer, but to your mitigating circumstances I say Arthur Fleck deserves the death penalty. And to Arthur Fleck's "I've got nothing left to lose. Nothing can hurt me anymore" dear little Arthur Fleck earned an extremely painful death. And to what he will eventually become, Arthur Fleck deserves to burn in hell forever while being tortured by devils in Joker costumes.

I'm sure you can make a well made movie about Adolph Hitler, and somebody did, but Hitler in the movie JoJo Rabbit deserved, and did receive, a kick in the balls and a bullet in the head. The Joker deserves no less.

Joker changed his name from Arthur Fleck. Hitler changed his name from Schicklgruber. There is your parallel.

Gee, thanks for the spoiler for those who've not seen Jo Jo Rabbit yet.

Seriously, even after I've clearly and plainly stated it's not about JOKER praise, but praising the MOVIE …

Never mind. Your mind is made up, and you don't WANT to get it. No sense in trying to convince you otherwise.

So would I, if he weren't a fictional character. Why do YOU assume that I would think otherwise?

Only he didn't, at least not yet. Because he is a fictional character living in a fictional world.

You are the Joker. Not just a joker.

Outside of killing his dying mother, Arthur Fleck didn't do a single thing in that movie that you haven't told other people they should be doing or that you wanted to do.

You hate yourself. You hate Joker because you see yourself in Arthur Fleck.

Do Right, Be Right. :)

May I quote you back to yourself? You brag about the money Joker made and that Joker grabs them from behind and rapes the Libtards up their asses. Those two are what is praiseworthy about the movie . . .

Joker is on the doorstep to making 1 billion dollars.

AND THAT IS WITH OUT ANY DOLLARS COMING FROM CHINA !
Joker was denied being shown in the Chinese market. Truly amazing.

Amazing at how well it did w/ 1/100th of the public relations machine as End Game.

The appreciation for Joker is just a widespread rejection of woke Hollywood. Star Wars, Star Trek CBS, Girl Ghostbusters , Nurse Who, Captain Marvel, Charlie’s Angels, Terminator dark fate, Harley Quinn, Batwoman TV series,.. it’s been said before, and apparently needs saying again. The smart kids in Hollywood and the re-purposers @ the BBC who are trying to shove their social agenda message into established and beloved franchises is facing a backlash.

Joker succeeded because Hollywood & the social elites, the self appointed arbiters of right speak& right think who told us to stay away. Joker, to me, is a giant middle finger to the woke cult who still hasn’t learned their lesson.

I never said or suggested 1 damn thing about anyone being raped up their asses .

Yes, Joker - THE MOVIE. Thanks for verifying what I just so bluntly and clearly stated.

And Hitler never changed his name. His FATHER did, before Adolf was even born.

You may not take your seat on the bench. You've struck yourself out.
