The story was that Trump was delusional and the DOJ delayed telling Trump he was fucked up in the head for 2 years because they were afraid of how he would react. Apparently the DOJ is not as afraid now because there is a 50% chance his Presidency ends in 2021. Some voters are noticing Trump is mentally incompetent.

I don't think Second understands the definition of a coin toss. November certainly doesn't fit the description under any legitimate model under the sun.

I haven't verified this information, but reducing the NSC staff even drastically would still leave it far above its original historic levels.

When the NSC was formed during the Truman administration, the staff assigned to support it was approximately a dozen people, all of whom had other jobs within the White House. During the Eisenhower administration the staff grew to around 50 people because of Eisenhower’s preference for a highly structured staffing process that he brought with him from his time in the Army. President Kennedy slashed the staff back to approximately 20 and maintained a flat, hub-and-spoke national security decision-making process. Lyndon Johnson continued that model while overseeing U.S.-Soviet relations and the Vietnam War.

During the Nixon and Ford administrations, the NSC staff doubled to 40 people under Henry Kissinger’s leadership and pursued a greatly expanded analytical agenda, including formulation of a portfolio of several hundred national security study memorandums covering everything from arms control to oceans policy. The George H.W. Bush administration handled the end of the Cold War and the first Gulf War with a staff of 50. Bill Clinton, in the “End of History” post-Cold War era, doubled the size of the NSC staff to just shy of 100 and began to consolidate more foreign policy decision-making within the White House complex.

The second Bush administration expanded the NSC staff to 136. Under the Obama administration, the NSC staff ballooned to nearly 200 people, many of them temporary detailees from executive departments and agencies.

You said Trump will certainly win. The election has not happened, so you should consider that he might die before then, which makes it less than 100% certainty he will have a second term. Iran or N Korea might attack and Trump might nuke them. That, too, makes it less than certain he wins. And then there is the possibility voters realize he is mentally deranged since he has not put anybody in The Deep State, or Hillary, behind bars. What is he waiting for? His second term?

No, no cooperation on this one, but this was only related to the findings of the inept and limited Horowitz I.G. report. McCabe is far from in the clear though. U.S. Attorney John Durham is reportedly ready to announce his investigation's findings, with federal indictments forthcoming. They will include McCabe, Orr, Brennan, Clapper, Comey, Strzok, and Weissman. Lisa Page has already been granted immunity for her cooperation. Sadly nothing expected to include Hillary Clinton or Loretta Lynch. They're gonna skate … again. But it will be exquisitely satisfying to see the rest of those Obama/Hillary scumbag traitors in handcuffs as they are perp-walked in disgrace prior to the General Election.

Anybody remember Senator Joe McCarthy hunting for "scumbag traitors"? Many in the TV audience saw him as bullying, reckless, and dishonest, and the daily newspaper summaries of the hearings were also frequently unfavorable. Very Trump of him. McCarthy’s attorney was Roy Cohn. Roy was also Trump’s lawyer and mentor. Trump learned a few tricks about making false accusations against the Deep State traitors inside the government from Roy Cohn's and McCarthy’s false accusations against Communist traitors inside government. If voters realize Trump is the new McCarthy, Trump will be in deep state trouble. Maybe somebody should remind voters who gave Trump the idea to see traitors everywhere?

With months to go he could race ahead of everyone, for example if Bernie dies of a heart attack at the end of October. But for now Trump does not have a commanding position. Earlier in October, Daniel Gilbert, a professor of psychology at Harvard University, suggested that Trump should be detained involuntarily to assess his mental health.
