Joker isn't anything like Saw. You would know that if you actually watched it, which you haven't.
I only even went to see it based off of Rappy's affirmation that it was not torture porn. I have a LONG history here of saying that I will not see any movies that fall even loosely into that category. Just ask Nilbog. We got into it over The Kingsman. In that thread I told the story of how my brother was showing me the trailer to it one day and once the guy blasted somebody in a church point blank and proceeded to kill everyone in the church I told him to turn it off... and that's when my niece came in the room and I quickly picked her up and turned her so her head wasn't even facing the TV until he had.
Let's take a moment and reflect on the violence in Suicide Squad and Birds of Prey...
(Video for Birds of Prey removed since it's not actually a kill count and just clickbait bullshit. Going to probably have to wait until the DVD comes out.)
Looks pretty ridiculous saying what you say about Joker when comparing it to the death count in either of those movies. There were just 11 deaths in Joker, only 6 of which were carried out by Arthur himself.
Even without an accurate death count in Birds of Prey yet, Suicide Squad alone has more than 19 TIMES the deaths than Joker had, and more than 36 TIMES the amount of kills that Joker had himself.
You're going to need citations that it's only Trump supporters that love Joker, idiot. And I don't mean from Vox or MotherJones or any lefty media outlets who have had a very clear anti-Trump bias for the last three years. I'm talking a legitimate study.

1) Penny, Arthur's mother, suffers a stroke and is hospitalized. The following day, Arthur kills Penny at the hospital.
2) Arthur is visited by Randall and fellow ex-colleague Gary. Arthur murders Randall but leaves Gary unharmed as he treated him well in the past. En route to the studio, Arthur is pursued by the two detectives onto a train, but escapes.
3) Arthur walks out to applause, but starts telling morbid jokes, confesses to the train murders, and rants about how society abandons the downtrodden and mentally ill. Arthur kills Murray.
This is a movie not to watch, 6ix. And yet you keep praising it.

I've stated before - Joker wasn't in my wheel house in terms of fine movies I like going to see. I steer clear of senseless snuff garbage. Slasher movies, The Purge, Saw, Freddy and Friday the 13... never has been my style.
And Joker wasn't remotely like any of those. I'd actually put it in the same category as American Sniper, Capote, and even Saving Private Ryan. None of those are 'fun' movies, where the audience claps and cheers or laughs. Parts were a bit dry and even tough to watch. Not for the gore either, but for the emotional pain and the reality of it all.
I wasn't feeling on top of the world after watching those movies, but I could still say that they were very well made, very REAL , in respects to their message and what they had to say.
Second - your TDS is severe. This movie has ZERO to do with Trump. Please, just let it go already.
