Well, just because their narrative has fallen apart doesn't mean they've changed their minds. JO is still convinced that Trump is a Russian asset, SHINY fervently feels that Trump is the Antichrist, and REAVERBOT is still panicking that the world will end in 12 (now 11?) years. (Maybe we should start a countdown clock on that?)

All of the people who thought that they were "nice" and who disappeared a long time ago... NIKI comes to mind... still believe that they're "nice people" and would still support warmonger candidates like Hillary.

I can understand why people sometime drop out of sight on these boards. It's always pretty much the same old crap all the time. Gets rather boring and totally predictable after time.

Now You, and I give you a lot of credit, continue to pleasantly surprise me. Since the "old days" of me aggressively arguing with you and Rue, Kwikko, Niki, Chrisisall, etc. I've watched you become more and more sensible and moderate, to the point where I find myself agreeing with you now most of the time. That is really something!

I'm just honestly wondering what they're up to. Did Rachel Maddow tell them to stop talking on the internet? It's not like they're all smart enough to walk away at the same time. Some of them, sure... but nearly all of them at once?

So it's either that, or these last few weeks have just been one soul hammering blow after another to them. Their anti-Trumpism and feelings over facts driven lives have consumed them and become a part of them, and they're in the process of seeing that pendulum finally start swinging violently the other way. They are losing ground literally everywhere from politics to culture. And I mean world wide too... not just in the US.

I'm legitimately concerned for a lot of their personal well being. Sure, I hate the rich and entitled with a passion, but most of the people on the left aren't any better or worse off than I am, relatively speaking. They were just conned by the people we should all be casting our collective rage at.

I don't know about the internet, but I noticed the relative blessed silence here, without most of the screeching and shrieking. I don't have a clue why. But I'm enjoying having reasonable discussions where people disagree without going crazy.

I have always thought of you as a "sour realist" (I hope that doesn't offend) and have always appreciated ... and sometimes been startled by... your penetrating and discerning voice on the board.

I've learned a lot from a lot of posters, in no particular order: YOU, ANTHONYT, KIKI/RUE, CHRISISALL, KWICKO, FREM, BYTEMITE, DREAMTROVE, SIX, SOUPCATCHER, OLDGUY, even AURAPTOR and PIRATENEWS. (And in a backhand kind of way GEEZER, NIKI, and FINN -I forget the rest of his name.) I'm sure there are many people I've forgotten who've influenced me.

A person who does not change his (or her) mind is a person blind to reality ... an ideologue. The real world is full of surprises.

I hope you post more often; I appreciate your unique insight.

Well they've had a pretty lousy week, that's why there's silence....

1. Dem Prez candidates are a horror show for the Party...bunch of left-wing psychos, each more un-electable than the other. And their great Moderate, Joe Biden, can't get anyone to vote for him … again!

2. Media Darling and former great Trump Avenger Michael Avenatti convicted on all accounts of extorting Nike. Faces up to 42 years in prison at sentencing next week. He's also faces over 300 more counts in 2 more criminal trials. Could end up with over 400 year prison term. Suck on that CNN & MSNBC. You turds loved that guy and were ready to see him be President.

3. Jussie Smollett, hero of the Trump-deranged crowd, indicted by Illinois Special Prosecutor for fraud, false reports, etc. for inventing anti-Trump race-baiting hoax. Also still faces separate lawsuit by Chicago Police Dept.
