Well I've basically decided they are a lost cause. It makes me sad to know that there are some people out there who can't appreciate Firefly. Especially when the rest of us browncoats can find so much joy in just watching the episodes over and over and over.

Well hopefully they'll still go see the movie. Though if I end up in the same showing as them I'll have to sit very far away. Even watching Firefly with their constant talking and their commentary that butchers the actual plot and ideas. (i.e. saying Safe was about a ship with ghosts and zombies on it that was attacked by aliens) Seriously they say stuff like that.

Bah I'll just have to find others to convert before Serenity comes out. My misison next week is to work on my family when I'm home for Christmas. It's funny how no matter where I travel I always pack my Firefly DVDs with me just in case.

I've found the best way to convert someone who is a rampant talker is to make sure they watch it alone. So far the only way I've found to do that is to wait until they're sick and going to be staying at home in bed all day and then loan them the first DVD.

Of course, you could speed things along by making SURE they get really sick but that might be pushing the whole conversion thing too hard. Then again, there are schools of thought that say there's no such thing .

There are three kinds of people: fighters, lovers, and screamers.

Hmm....it sounds like the three of you watch together? How about you separate them? Watch episodes with just one of them, at a time. That might cut out the talking - as it's not like you'll talk back to them.

Last night I took my first shot at converting someone. It went okay, she was already a Buffy/Angel fan, which I found promising. We watched "Serenity" and "Ariel". Thats all we had time for, but she liked it.

If possible, the method I would recommend is to show them "Serenity", "The Train Job", "Our Mrs Reynolds", "Out Of Gas" and "Ariel" in as close proximity as possible. Preferably all back to back. Let them just watch it with you, work on one person at a time, no more....Then don't show them anything for a week! And hopefully Firefly would have been suzzing round their head for a week, and they'll be dying for more!

LOL, I think that may be a BIT too fanatical. And immoral. And illegal.

So?

We're talking about a show with thieves, fugitives, and a prostitute. Be creative.
