Video from a moving car shot while driving towards Tehran.

The plane can be seen burning most of the way down. According to SOME people, if the plane had been hit by a missile it wouldn't have been burning, it would have exploded in midair.

Anyway, I think the video is interesting because it also gives us an uncensored albeit limited view of Iran. It's not what I imagined. And the passenger sounds just like my dentist!

There are 2 videos of the incident as it happened that I've seen so far, and I always wonder when ones like those come out: who the hell is pointing their phone at the empty night sky and filming it and getting lucky enough to catch an event?? I don't think you could react fast enough in the one that shows the final flame out. If you see the first flash and then get your phone out and navigate to video it would be over - it happened too fast.

Out of 8+ million people living in Tehran (yep, it's a big city!) I can imagine one or two who just happen to be videoing the night sky. Maybe someone wanting to video something poetic about the sleeping city? Anyway, from the first flash (of the plane being hit) to the final flash (of impact) was about a minute, and the plane was supposedly burning all the way down so it would have been visible for that long.

I've videoed sky phenomena that last that long: noctilucent clouds, and noctilucent missle trails from various west coast experimental launches, and trying to capture that ever-elusive "green flash" of sunset over the ocean.

In any case, Iran admitted to an accidental shootdown. I can't imagine how that happened ... it was an outbound plane, not an incoming missile. Should have looked entirely different to missile operators. Somebody's ass is grass.

What a tragedy.

As I understand it, this was a 737-800 model, part of the 737 NG class, which was Next Generation.

I have heard folk harping on Canadian PM, but I have not been joining those folk.
After the identities were revealed of the Canadians aboard, I saw that they were mostly people from Iran, born there, or their spouses, and a couple on Honeymoon. These are folk who understood they were flying into a country which regularly shoots down aircraft, a country run by crazy insane terrorists, a nation with little or no morals or ethics. And they all chose to ride a plane into/out of that airspace. Live by the sword, die by the sword. Are these folk nominees for the Darwin Awards? Maybe not. But if you stand in the path of a falling redwood, maybe nobody should be surprised you get squashed.

Although waiting for the facts can be admirable, I was beginning to fear Sigs had switched from Russian PR to Iranian/Iraqi PR Agent.

The world knew that the 737 had gotten missile target locked before the missiles had been launched, and just because the always lying Iranians had denied they were yet again the perpetrator of crimes does not mean they are any more believable this time.

Trudeau spoke to the President of Iran got Iran to admit that they fired those missiles and took out that plane. Our investigators are there.

I heard just this morning the Fake News MSM finally caught on to what the rest of the world knew within a day.

They revealed that the Iranian passengers were martyred by TWO missiles istead of the one missile they have been insisting upon for the past few days, ever since their masters in Iran admitted to the one missile. Now apparently their masters in Iran have admitted that they lied yet again, and there were actually 2 missiles that they now admit to.

In unrelated news, Iran has reported that they are arresting the people responsible for this atrocity. Apparently the first person they arrested was the person who took the video of the missiles impacting, and they posted it on social media for the world to see.
