What an awful pile of go-se. Seriously, that's something no one should have ever seen.

It had a certain 90's charm and wasn't the worst thing in the world that an 11 year old had ever seen. But it's not even the type of "bad" that you can recommend to friends who have never seen it.
Did the trailer you saw have the "Does she come with fries?" joke? It wasn't in all of them, and it seriously was the funniest thing that came out of that movie.
I don't think any of the trailers that I saw had the line when I directly looked for it, but one day while YouTube was on autoplay there was a video with a compilation of 80's and 90's commercials that had been put together from old VHS tapes and the line was there.
EDIT: If you ever otherwise reach the end of the internet and have absolutely nothing to do with your life, somebody uploaded the full movie to youtube 6 years ago and nobody gave a shit enough to even take it down for copyright violation.
None of the trailers I saw on YT had the part.
I found the channel that has the video I was talking about... but no way am I ever going to find it.
That alone is just the first 200 videos of 90's commercials compilations. It's somewhere in there, assuming that the commercial wasn't from 1989 anyhow...

IDK, I didn't make it past the mid part. I could tell from the start is was a garbage movie which had a very ' Mac and me ' feel to it.

Yes. It was Mac and Me, but without the 5 minute McDonalds commercial in the middle.
I did think it was funny that the XBox game series Destroy All Humans had you playing the main character who was a very alien-looking-alien with the voice of a Jack Nicholson wannabe doing the voice over. They must have been fans of this movie. The game though, unlike the movie, was actually really good.

How was Mac and Me any more of a commercial for McDonald’s then ET was for Reese‘s pieces? I have to ask, because I sure as hell didn’t see it.

BTW... the behind the scenes and how that movie was made is actually a lot more interesting than the movie itself.
In one of the shots from the scene above, you can see a semi truck with a GSF logo on it. The producer got funding for the movie from them, and they were the company that (I believe) did all of the shipping for McDonalds in the country. The whole movie ended up being an advertisement for McDonalds and Coke. Even the Coke advertisement which is a lot more low key than this 5 minute McDonalds commercial is way less "subtle" than the Reeses Pieces from E.T.
Kind of funny how insensitive everything was back in the 90's looking back at it from 2019. The main character was in a wheelchair. He was actually a paraplegic in real life. You almost feel bad for him as everybody is dancing around him in that shot and he's just helplessly looking around.
But that's nothing compared to this scene...
Handicapped people are HILARIOUS. Comic gold.

Made it to the 1:32 mark before I bailed. So much worse than even I imagined. I specifically try to avoid mindless stuff like these D movies. Just awful.

Some of those mindless D movies are pretty enjoyable watches. Mac and Me and Spaced Invaders certainly aren't on that list though.
