You're right Six, this movie would bore you. Stay away is my advice. Actually, stay away from all movies, yes that's better for everyone. Books, now there's something you should definitely stick to.

And I'm also wondering if JSF placed some Vegas bets on how well FvF would perform, or if he's a producer for the movie.
He seems highly agitated with anyone who doesn't want to see this movie. Not Elizabeth Banks saltiness levels, but he probably could stand to shake a little bit of that sand out of his kooter.

TBH, I said the same for JOKER, and I had heard it was pretty good too, but man, 1 freaking BILLION dollars good ? I sure did like it more than I did END Game.

Ok, if you go to a movie, or film, and you don't like it and you say "man that wasn't for me" I respect that. If you say I'm not interested in going to a movie or film, because you don't like the genre or the previews suck, okay I can dig it.
Despite all the negative press (which sometimes helps a movie/film) like against Alita and Joker, I went to see both for myself. I recently had a discussion with a friend who hated Joker. We're still friends, but we went at it. We argued the fine points, but we still have a ways to go before either is satisfied about our argument/opinion of what makes this film bad/great.
The way we left it off: I told him that there comes along once every few years, a film so controversial that it manages to create havoc among critics and fans alike. There's no denying Joker is one of those films. We disagreed on almost every level, even music choice. We promised to continue our discussion at a later date. To be clear, I called it a masterpiece and he called it a disaster. But I never told him he was wrong, mainly because that's
his point of view...we talked about what we felt were it's high points and low points without yelling, kicking and screaming (imagine that). I listened to his points and he listened to mine. Actually, it was a pretty healthy discussion.
He has yet to see Alita, which I practically begged him to see it with me. He told me he heard it was bad. I told him different, but the next time we meet I will bring him the DVD and he will watch it with me; then we'll see.
I finally watched Captain Marvel (saw it for free) mainly because I wanted to see for myself if it was really that bad. It was. But I get to say so because I saw it, not based on hearsay (that word does get around). Alita kicks CM's ass twelve ways from Sunday. No comparison or competition. Now I see why Disney tried to muddy the waters and badmouthed this movie throughout their apparatus (meaning their hired hands in media and reviewers). At least, that's what I heard, and it makes sense. Both CM and Alita were coming out about the same time and Alita is the superior movie (bar none) and Disney wanted no
competition whatsoever. Of course, the fact that CM was distributed throughout the country to over 3,200 theaters helps it's numbers, plus better marketing.
It's no wonder it made several hundred million (I'm not going to bother to look up the B.O. numbers, by now who cares - the movie was NOT good).
Joker was filmed in the old fashioned sense, like back in the 70s, when quality films were the rule rather than the exception. I liked it a hell of a lot more than End Game, but we're talking film (Joker) and movie (End Game),
two totally different animals.
