I heard the future holds a Matrix 4.
6ix was right, for the past 15 years.

Good to see my streak is still unblemished.

My enthusiasm for Zombieland 2 has waned in the face of ads focusing so much on the Harrelson factor. Every other cast member is much more deserving.

But now I see that a female-lead spinoff is going to be Ballerina, with an unknown lead so far.

I thought it was supposed to make me a racist incel. Then violent.

Honestly, Joker was one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. Not saying it's my favorite, but I can still admit when a movie is well made, even if it's not exactly in my wheel house.
So far, notable movies I've NOT seen that came out this year..
Captain Mary Sue.
IT Chapter 2
Shazam
Once upon a time in Hollywood.
Lion King, Toy Story 4, Aladin , Dumbo , How to train your Dragon: Hidden
John Wick … what ever number this was.
MIB Int'l
Ad Astra
Hellboy remake
Brightburn

Quote:Of that list, I've seen JW3. I think I still want to see Ad Astra. Don't remember about Brightburn. Oh, and I tried to watch Shazaam for free on flight, but got too bored and switch to another film and then Sudoku.

I might be leaning towards The Good Liar.

Brightburn is , as I understand it, basically evil young Superman. Or if you've seen The Boys, Homelander, as a kid.
Gemini Man looked mildly interesting, but it's getting torched by fans. So, skip.
I was surprised at how well the first Maleficent movie was, and wondered about going to see the sequel. Unfortunately, it's not getting very good reviews, at all.
Zombieland 2 sounds like they kept the characters true to form from the 1st one, which is good. The 'wokeness' didn't seem to affect them. That's possible, but more likely will wait for the small screen.
The Good Liar looks damned clever.

Gemini Man is being torched?
It's got an 84% audience score on RT, despite the 25% critic score.

That usually means that it's going to be a good movie.
The clone story I'm most interested in seeing in 2019 is Living With Yourself on Netflix.
I think it was actually released a few days ago.

Hey there Rappy,
Brightburn is evil young Superman, but surprisingly good horror unlike anything I've seen in quite some time. The lead actor playing the kid is
very creepy and everyone turns in a solid performance. It would be a good
rental for a Halloween Night at the movies.
Gemini Man, I'll take a pass. I am interested in Zombieland 2, had a great time and a good laugh at the first one. If the writing stays the same, good
times.
Maleficent 2....decent script, a continuation of the original solid, good
movie. I took my nieces and nephews and they enjoyed it. Okay....so did I,
but I'm into fantasy/sci-fi adventure. Was there a message? Yes, but you're
watching a Disney movie. Saw it in 3D and it was well done. I recommend it to families with young kids and some teens. Not a bad follow-up to the first
one.
