Just a heads up for those of you out there who wouldn't pick up a comic, but might buy a "graphic novel"--or those who can't stand having to wait between single issues of too-short comics. A collection of the first six issues of Joss' Astonishing X-Men comic is out today in bookstores and comic shops.

I forgot to mention that you also might want to pick it up because it's really good.

Oh! and it could help Firefly/Serenity because . . . let's see . . . maybe high sales will get the movie people to get Joss to direct X3 . . . and then X-fans will want to check out Serenity to get an idea how he works with a movie . . . and becomed hooked on Firefly. that's it.

My best friend just dropped by to give me my xmas present - he gave me the collection. He told me ALL the issues are in it, too, even the last one that just came out two weeks ago.

He is SO cool - I just lent him my Firefly DVDs..... he's taking them to California... I live in Seattle... I am NOT happy that they are going to California, but he is going to mail them back to me... and I MOSTLY trust him... It's worth is to make my 15th convert. I hope.

Hubby promised to buy me another set if anything happens...
