“We would above all remind Mr. Trump that the 7th District, Baltimore included, is part of the United States that he is supposedly governing. The White House has far more power to affect change in this city, for good or ill, than any single member of Congress including Mr. Cummings. If there are problems here, rodents included, they are as much his responsibility as anyone’s, perhaps more because he holds the most powerful office in the land.”

Bullshit. It's not the job of the President to govern Baltimore anymore than it's the President's job to govern Gary, IN.

Baltimore is a shithole. Most Democratic strongholds in the country are shitholes.

Do Right, Be Right. :)

Having lived for a few years in Maryland I can tell you that Baltimore is a great city. It is beautiful and historic. The Inner Harbor area is amazing. Sure there are some problem sections of the city, but I've yet to visit any large city in the U.S. that didn't have some of those. I don't think Trump ought to have engaged in a battle over this with Cummings, but then he wouldn't be Trump. Seems to me that he's played right into the race baiters' hands, giving them a lot of material to try to use against him and his supporters. Yanno …. it's enough already.

If you believe that then you must believe the US in general is a shit hole. Chicago, Columbus, New York City, LA and San Fran... to name a few. Another ridiculous Angry Jack statement.

No. Not America in general. Just the Democratic strongholds. Your list is a great start in naming them off.

Sure, it's fine if you're well to do. People who've got the money to spend $75 on the family for a day at the museum aren't likely to notice.

They are the most heavily taxed areas in the country by a longshot, yet at the same time they are the filthiest places with the highest crime rates.

Chicago is a big place. New York is even bigger. Make sure you know what streets your walking down. Especially at night.

I find all of this quite hilarious. Trump has everybody on the left not only defending politicians they shouldn't be defending, but crazy beliefs like there being no problems in urban areas.

Case in point...

Bernie Sanders (2015): Of West Baltimore: "Anyone who took the walk that we took around this neighborhood would not think you're in a wealthy nation. You would think that you were in a Third World country."

Bernie Sanders (2019): "It's unbelievable. Trump attacks American cities".

At least some people still have their heads on straight and know what Trump is doing here. Those that don't are going to be shocked that the Democrats get slaughtered in 2020 and have absolutely no idea how it happened.

Quote:

The president is right about Baltimore. Are Democrats really prepared to defend failure?

Baltimore is one of the least livable, most dangerous cities in America. It's not racist to point that out.

Great. Then it will get fast tracked to SCOTUS and become the law of the land before the election.

Win.

Can SCOTUS fast track rule on a promise Trump broke? Trump signs budget bill as experts warn he's on track to add trillions to U.S. debt
USA TODAY Published 1:23 p.m. ET Aug. 2, 2019

Donald Trump promised during his campaign that if he won the White House, he would wipe out the national debt in just eight years.

But in his first 2½ years in office, he has gone in the opposite direction.

Trump’s total contribution to the national debt is projected to top $4.1 trillion, according to an analysis by the nonpartisan Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget.
