Russia suspends flights to Georgia amid unrest
President Vladimir Putin has temporarily banned Russian airlines from flying to Georgia following a spate of violent unrest in the country.
He signed the decree - which will be implemented from 8 July - on Friday.
It came after some 240 people were hurt a day earlier in protests that were ignited by the appearance of a Russian MP in Georgia's parliament.

Scotland Yard has examined the role of the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, in the novichok nerve agent attack in Salisbury, it has been revealed. Putin is assessed by UK intelligence agencies as having been “likely” to have approved of the attack in March 2018 on Sergei Skripal, a former Russian military officer, and his daughter, both of whom were left seriously ill but survived.
