I worked as an "extra" Dec. 16 & 17 on the set of Firefly at Fox. I would like to watch the show. Here in the LA area, where Firefly aired Fridays at 8 P.M., there have been movies and other things on in this time slot. Will this "final?" episode be aired? It had to do with a body that was mailed, and scenes in the "bazaar." I did a search on my digital cable remote for Firefly, with no results for this week.

must be one of the three they've got in the can but haven't yet shown. Fox says they are planning to show them, but so far has not given any kind of time frame. They've also given away the timeslot that Firefly used to be in, first to "Joe Millionaire", and when that 7 week show is over, to "Fastlane".
We're all crossing our fingers that somebody picks up the show along with all of the unaired episodes so that we can see them.

I think folks here would be interested to know what that was like -- though please use the "spoiler" commands if you're going to reveal any major plot points.

Hi all,
I couldn't spoil it for any of you. The 2 days I worked, I couldn't figure out what was going on!! There are various sets and action happening on days and in places when I was not around, so I couldn't piece together a storyline from what I observed! I was costumed, wigged, and make-upped to be a "Sultan Lady" (wealthy) in the bazaar of the space station. Mostly, I wandered around, fingering merchandise, "talking" to the vendors (mimed), sitting in a sushi bar. I was one of about 130 extras that day, and impressed with the expense and # of retakes for "just" a TV show. I have also worked on movies and I expect them to put out the time and talent more than the TV shows. The first day I worked, I was on set from 5 A.M. until 8:30 P.M. My feet were killing me!! The 2nd day was a 6:30 A.M. call time and we got out about 5:00. I got to sit in that sushi bar much of the time, so that was great! The extras range from a skinny old man who looks 90+ to "goth" type teenagers and young children. All are costumed in most interesting "ethnic" clothes from various times and places. (I guess you know this from other episodes) A smoke machine was going ALL the time, both days for "atmosphere." We got an extra $5. per day for "smoke." I am non-union so my pay is very low, but I do it for fun. The stars of the show are all very attractive, professional, and fun, although I didn't talk to them myself. (I did bump into a few, doing my "shopping") Well, that's about it. I hope it airs, and I hope I am notified when (Pacific Time) so I can catch that episode.
