It was listed as projected revenue before Bush decided to give those tax breaks to the rich. If you're going to cut future revenue and not cut corresponding spending, you are indeed incurring a "cost".

You saying that it wasn't a "cost" because it wasn't theirs to count is like me saying that any projected deficits aren't real, because the government hasn't spent that money yet, so there's no deficit.

It's voodoo economics, just like everything else you believe in.

No idea where that graph you posted comes from, but it's laughably inaccurate.

And yes, Hitler's motivation was settled long ago, and Christianity had next to nothing to do with his wanting to conquer the world. But nice try.

As I showed before, Hitler's motivations were laid out very clearly in his own writings and speeches, and were 100% tied to his Christianity. I'm not asking you to take MY word for it; I'm asking you to take HIS word.

Hey, if Bin Laden said he was doing all his bullshit for Islam, you'd believe him, right?

Odd that you refuse to believe your beloved Christo-fascists when they plainly state why they're doing what they're doing.

This idiot right-winger in Norway plainly stated that he was murdering unarmed children in furtherence of his Christian beliefs. You can choose not to believe him if you like, but it seems more than just a little hypocritical of you to take one guy's explanation at face value, and not another's.

But we're all used to your hypocrisy anyway, so just stick with that.

HELL YES.
Stoltenberg just showed that he prolly has more sense in his pinky than all of OUR so-called leaders collected.

Quote:

Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg vowed Wednesday that the twin terror attacks that have stunned his country will not intimidate Norway and that his countrymen will fight back with "more democracy."

Norwegians will defend themselves by showing they are not afraid of violence and by participating more broadly in politics, he told reporters.

"It's absolutely possible to have an open, democratic, inclusive society, and at the same time have security measures and not be naive," he said.

Stoltenberg underlined his commitment to openness, defending freedom of thought even if includes extremist views such as those held by the 32-year-old Norwegian who confessed to Friday's bomb blast at government headquarters and to the shooting massacre at a Labor Party youth camp hours later. At least 76 people were killed.

"We have to be very clear to distinguish between extreme views, opinions — that's completely legal, legitimate to have. What is not legitimate is to try to implement those extreme views by using violence," he said.

"I think what we have seen is that there is going to be one Norway before and one Norway after July 22," he said. "But I hope and also believe that the Norway we will see after will be more open, a more tolerant society than what we had before."

THAT *is* the correct response, don't burn down the castle to protect it, don't discard the principles you're defending - stick to your guns and stand UP for them, all the way, as a spit in the eye to would be tyrants large and small.

Again, Kindness and Mercy as WEAPONS, to fight hate, intolerance, and violence.

My greatest fear was that this would push Norway into the same kind of idiotic security-theatre state we've become, and now that is much alleviated - but of course, they're as a rule a saner society, for many reasons, not the least of which is they're far more in line with what I wrote about regarding the treatment of people AS human beings.

Again, it's very simple - DO NOT COMPLY, don't give the bastards what they want, don't become like them, don't give in to fear.

I was gonna add a link to a well written editoral regarding just how fast the backpedal of american rightwingnuts was, all the while cowardly evading their own culpability - but you know what ?
In respect to Stoltenberg, and taking from his example, eff em, why spend the effort when it's put to better use helping others.

Awesome.

I heard someone ask, "If that had happened here, do you think they'd be profiling blonde white men at the airports?"

he used dum dum bullets which basically exploded inside his victims - to ensure maximum casualities. oh well, according to some of the nutbags on these boards, it's his right to own an arsenal of such destructive weaponry.

He wanted to start a revolution in response to his hatred of TPTB. Sound familiar to anyone here? Almost might say to some (if he were in America) that he was exercising his '2nd Amendment right' because he was seeing tyranny and decided to act. Thus we see where the rhetoric can end.

Iyad el-Baghdadi on twitter?

The CIA has warned Norway that a prominent Arab activist who is living in the country under asylum protection is facing a potential threat from Saudi Arabia

he's a Palestinian?

The revelation comes less than a year after the murder of Jamal Khashoggi, a Saudi journalist for the Washington Post and a US resident, who was killed inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul in October 2018.

Necroposting?
I see PN using the term Libtard.

Also, we now know this whole event is from psychotropic drugs, but will still be ignored.
