MY problem with Trump has nothing to do with his speaking style. It's that he's consistently appointed the wrong people and that his foreign policy ... the one area where he CAN make a difference .... is constantly being derailed by people like Bolton and Kushner.

Trump has fired thousands of people in his life. He has fired most of his cabinet. He could fire the people Signym wants fired. But he has not, perhaps because he does not truly share Signym's goals? Perhaps he is a great big fraud who never intended keeping his campaign promises? And perhaps his peculiar stage performances are intended to distract his audiences from the actual substance of Trump's policies and its failure?

That leaves the question: Who is Trump trying to please? Maybe Rupert Murdoch of FOX, the same corp that cancelled Firefly. Trump certainly has a lot of sympathy from the leading FOX news and commentary personalities. "Why the Trump-Fox News relationship really is unprecedented"

One metric: the steady flow of personnel from Fox News to the Trump White House. For the Trump administration, appearances on Fox News have often served as the first step in the interview process. That is, no doubt, how Bush administration official and hawk John Bolton wound up in the White House, despite the fact that Trump regularly bashes interventionism.

But Bolton is just one of many former Fox News folks in the administration. There's Tony Sayegh in Treasury and Mercedes Schlapp in communications. Trump recently nominated Heather Nauert, former "Fox and Friends" host turned State Department spokeswoman, to become the next ambassador to the United Nations (having no experience outside broadcast journalism, her appointment was resisted until she finally withdrew -- reportedly for other reasons). Behind the scenes, Sean Hannity, who last year spoke in support of Trump at one of his rallies, regularly advises the President.

Fox News spins desperately to shield lawless president from accountability
https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2019/03/05/fox-news-spins-desp
erately-shield-lawless-president-accountability/?noredirect=on&utm_source=reddit.com&utm_term=.6efacb074f36

Now that President Trump is heading into a new period of intensified scrutiny from congressional Democrats, even as the special counsel’s investigation approaches its climax, Trump’s political health — and, possibly, his survival as well — depends more than ever on the massive propaganda apparatus that is busily toiling away on his behalf.

Central to this effort is Fox News. Fox personalities are now responding to the new Democratic investigative push, and the true dimensions of their efforts are coming into clearer focus: Precisely because Trump has committed extremely serious misconduct and wrongdoing on so many fronts, some of Fox’s leading voices are resorting to portraying any and all oversight directed at the president as fundamentally illegitimate.

Another way of putting this is that Fox personalities are arguing that Trump should be above accountability — that is, above the law. They don’t put it this way, but this is what they’re really saying.

The sheer Orwellian up-is-downism here is remarkable. Lou Dobbs claimed Democrats are engaged in a “search for a crime” and are “following the lead of Robert Mueller and the radical Dem corruption of both the FBI and the Department of Justice.” One guest scoffed that Mueller had been empowered to investigate crimes he came across “in the process of investigating whatever the heck it was he was authorized to investigate.”

Let me help here: Mueller was authorized to investigate a hostile foreign power’s massive and deliberate subversion of U.S. democracy, which it undertook to get Trump elected president. In service of that end, Mueller has already created a remarkably detailed portrait of the scope and reach of this sabotage effort. In addition to this, Mueller was authorized to investigate whether the Trump campaign colluded with that subversion effort, and other matters that arose in the process.

What these folks are really saying, then, is that investigating this attack on our democracy — regardless of whether conspiracy happened — is itself corrupt and illegitimate. That Trump benefited from illicit help in getting elected — whether or not he would have won without it is irrelevant — must not be acknowledged. Needless to say, nor can the fact that Trump’s top campaign officials eagerly tried to conspire in that effort (which Trump subsequently tried to conceal from the American people).

SECOND, every time I read your post and I get that Charlie Brown whuhwhahwuuwhaehu sound in my head. I have no idea who the fuck you think you're posting to. It's like you're trying to "break" my "faith" in Trump when I had no "faith" to begin with. I had three objectives when I voted for Trump, remember? Had nothing to do with him being a nice guy or a great speaker or draining the swamp or making America great again or balancing the budget or being a man of the people. I did call him a national capitalist, remember?

I hope I'm judging him by those three objectives. So far he's made better progress on two of the three, far better than Hillary would have, and made complete hash of the third. Trump deserves criticisms but not on the random and hate filled grounds that you constantly fling at the board.

When they do come for him it will be with this and much much more.

tick tock

That's all nice and interesting, but what it will really do is reduce the number of votes he gets in 2020. If he loses that election, then his problems begins. He will pardon himself for everything, and after years of litigation the GOP controlled Supreme Court will agree

Nope, I disagree...

Subpoena, if they do not comply you hold them in contempt and start the impeachment trial immediately.
This is an abuse of power that cannot go unpunished or we are well on our way to a dictator.
He is telling the oversight, that they cannot oversee.
He is challenging the very structure of our constitution.

Don Jr. Signed one of the checks to reimburse Michael Cohen for the Stormy Daniels payments - from the revocable trust that Trump was supposed to put his businesses in so politics couldn't get involved with it...

Ivanka went on TV to state that her dad had nothing to do with security clearances in the last month, to cover for something that isn't illegal for a President to do...

Remember when Trump's kids were trying to get CIA top level security clearance?
After he was cleared by the White House, Kushner’s file was reportedly submitted to the C.I.A. to be evaluated for an S.C.I., or “sensitive compartmented information” clearance—an even higher designation. It didn’t go well:
After reviewing the file, C.I.A. officers who make clearance decisions balked, two of the people familiar with the matter said. One called over to the White House security division, wondering how Kushner got even a top-secret clearance, the sources said.

Beyond that, Kushner and Ivanka hang out with an accused Chinese spy who they were warned about and still hang out with.
On Monday, the Wall Street Journal reported that counterintelligence officials in early 2017 warned Jared Kushner that Wendi Deng Murdoch might be using her relationship with Kushner and his wife, Ivanka Trump, to aid the Chinese government.

A friend of Saudi Arabia's powerful crown prince Mohammed bin Salman was the mystery buyer of "Salvator Mundi," a painting of Christ by Leonardo Da Vinci that recently sold for a record $450 million.

The New York Times on Wednesday, citing documents it reviewed, identified the buyer as Saudi Arabia's Prince Bader bin Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Farhan al-Saud, whose country forbids the official worship of Christ or any other religion except Islam.
Why wouldn't they be involved? Russia needed money and they personally gave a guy almost half a billion dollars.

Amazing that, while ignoring the neverending roster of crimes that Obama perpetrated, these Trolls believe all of the Fake implications and innuendos that aren't even crimes.
