That's the problem with hate crimes. They're bullshit.
Crime is crime. No need to put a special label on the end of it. People of all races and sexes are capable of cheating and lying and just plain evil behavior.
How long did you think it was going to take for people to figure out they can get what they want or hurt somebody they don't care for by faking something? How long did you think it would take for people to stop believing any of it once people started to cry wolf too many times?
What the liberals are all pissy about right now is how many of them had to eat crow after all the gross support they gave Smollett on social media before it was found out that he was a con man.

Of course that's not true, but if black or Mexican (or any minority under the sun) Conservatives were faking hate crimes and the media reported on it, they'd have to abandon the narrative that blacks and Mexicans (or any minority under the sun) only vote democrat.
