But do you see the connection between the excruciatingly slow government investigation of Bernie Madoff and Trump? I do.

Do you see the connection between how slowly investors with Madoff caught on that they were being cheated with how slowly Trump voters catch on that they are being cheated by Trump? People investing with Madoff just didn't want to know. They accepted his lies, although the smarter ones withdrew their money from the Madoff investment Company before he was arrested. The smarter Trump voters should do the same.

Sure. I see a possibility that he's done something worth losing the job over. I'm pretty sure that if you dug deep enough that you could say the same thing for 80% or more of every politician that ever lived as well.

What amazes me is that 2 years have gone by with EVERYONE against him and he's still in the seat.

That's just the rub here. This stuff started before he even took office. We've heard every single day that he's this or that without a single day off. The outrage when Hillary lost was so bad. There was literally crying and screaming (I can show you videos of that, if you didn't see them, or in case you've forgotten). This has NEVER happened before in the history of America... Certainly never on this large of a scale.

I often talk about choosing your battles, and how I've learned to choose mine. Can you see how the daily parade of every single little thing over two years can work to actually undermine any legitimacy to any claims that might actually hold water?

I can.

I've already said I'd be the first to admit I was wrong if something truly damning comes up. I still don't think that anything will. And you and I both know that if anybody is going to go after Trump directly, it better damned well be the Big Show. They're not going to be able to pull a Roger Stone conviction for some two bit crimes on the side.

I see that you are not getting the point. I have been hearing for 66 years that smoking causes cancer and heart attack. Many people I know heard the same, but it did not stop them. Now they are dead from lung cancer and heart attack. Was it wrong for the MSM to tell them over and over what they should have understood after being told only one time? Remember: they are dead and I believe it is the smokers' fault, not the tobacco company for downplaying the risks of smoking. All the dead smokers I knew had sound reasons to not believe the tobacco companies, and yet they would actually claim that there was no proof smoking kills. They stop that nonsense of no proof either once they were in the hospital, or with the most stubborn of my friends, they were dead. Many Trump voters are also saying "No Proof".

(Personal note: December 2018 is the most recent death from cancer of a friend who was a long time heavy smoker, although the drinking didn't help, either. Marshall was 56. )

I know people who died: tobacco chewer of throat cancer, smokers of lung cancer. They wouldn’t stop using because tobacco gave them pleasure. Trump gives pleasure to his users. He claims benefits other than pleasure also originate from him, but he is a Madison Avenue ad agency touting the benefits of breathing his smoke.
