I'd never say I have 50 years left. Don't know if I'd want them if somebody gave them to me. 
I'm not ready to go just yet though. If I had kept drinking I would have been gone already. Now I'm just hoping that the long term damage outside of my mouth is minimal and if I live right I can live reasonably comfortably at least long enough to see my niece grow up and do whatever amazing things she's going to do.
I didn't actually get my teeth cleaned the other day. I built up a great rapport with the hygienist in the short time there and she has set up a 2nd appointment gratis for me tomorrow. A full 1 hour block to clean them up as good as possible, free of charge. I couldn't thank her enough. At one point I said, "so I guess they didn't believe me when I told them they might need a little extra time on this one" and she laughed and said that everybody says that.
My new dentist is in full agreement with me that it's time for my top teeth to go, however he agrees 100% with my step-bro-in-law that going forward we need to do whatever possible to maintain as many bottom teeth as long as possible to support a partial. He says it's inevitable that the top ones are going to go sooner than later and that by holding on to them I'm leaving myself open to constantly fighting infections and the other health problems that could bring. But he also said that many of the bottom ones are still solid enough that we could maintain them for many years down the road as long as I keep doing what I'm doing at home AND I don't skip out on regular cleanup visits. This is exactly what I was thinking, but my bro doesn't want to do that. Hopefully I can change his mind. The new dentist says that he does dentures and that if I choose to do this and can't get it done we can talk about the costs down the line.
Overall, I'm extremely happy with my new doctor and dentist and their staff. They've been wonderful.
Looks like I got the answers I need for my bloodwork as well. The plan is to get that done tomorrow too.
The time for the truth is imminent. :0

For some reason I've always had a feeling that I will outlive my friends and my brother probably.
I'm glad you're happy with all the medical in your life and getting answers and things done. That's great.
I can put off my medical aka my family doc and next mammogram for a few more months.
Only doc, I see regularly is my chiropractor and I have been going to him for years. He's a great guy.

Street lighting around where I live is crap. Tripped on a piece of broken sidewalk because I forgot about it. Went down on hands and knees again. No damage done but I will have nice bruises on my knees come tomorrow.

I've done it in here just around Christmastime. Annoying to say the least.
Yeah, I start running through the way I was walking, what was I doing when it happened. Not that it matters much. Just have to pay better attention tomorrow is all. And put some heat on my knees tonight when I go to bed.

I'm always "in a hurry" for no reason, really. I have plenty of downtime, and especially during the winter it's not as if I'm making extreme use of it or anything. But whenever I am actually doing anything of consequence I'm usually always trying to multi-task while I'm almost always thinking about something else at the same time.
Perfect storm for tripping over something that was always there before.

Nope. Little shook up and bruised and sore as well but that's about all.
Well, I got off the bus and I know the sidewalk in that area isn't the greatest and it was starting to rain and I was trying to open my umbrella. Thought I had stopped walking and the next thing I knew I was down.

I don't ever do anything like this while I'm driving and I devote complete attention to that, but if I was glued to a smartphone all day like these other zombies I would have already walked right into traffic without even knowing it long ago.

That's why I hate cellphones. I've been almost walked into by people looking at their phones when they should be looking where they are walking.
I have a cellphone and use it as a landline as this place doesn't have a landline. I will not carry it with me or use it when I am out as I hate them.
People think I am weird because of that but I find them rude and even people my age and older are addicted to the things.
So, no I will never have the thing with me.

Yeah... that's the really creepy thing about it. When people older than you think that you're the weird one. I expect it from the kids.
I know I've talked about this before... how I like going out for coffee with my bro and my dad when we go down to visit him. My brother has a smart phone, but only because the government gave it to him (the one on SSDI). My dad has a flip phone. I don't even have one. We actually talk to each other while everybody at the other tables of all ages sit next to each other sipping coffee in their own little smartphone worlds.
