It's been 30years since I've been given a second lease on life. Meaning since I survived a brain tumour and the surgery to remove it.

Well, hubby and I spent a few hours over a couple of days cleaning out the gutters. What fun! (NOT)
I noticed last rainstorm the downspouts were suspiciously empty and the gutters were overflowing. Well, they haven't been cleaned in 5 years so I guess it's not surprising: Full of pine needles, tree leaves, and palm berries. Rotted. Yeesh.
Well, back to decluttering!

Gutters cleaned, just in time for the rain!
So many of my posts have to do with rain, it seems.
Parade of storms for the west coast.
What about you BRENDA? Are these storms getting all the way up to BC?

Hey Sig. Had rain over last week but it dried out today(Saturday). I would have to check out the weather site I go to see about next week's weather. We've had some more wind up here but nothing as drastic as the week around Christmas.

Interesting thing happened this morning and it had nothing to do with my laundry.
Grey squirrel was going up the back stairs that lead to my landlady's deck. Cheeky beggar stopped on one of the steps and looked right at me. I had a stare down going on with a squirrel for a good few seconds. Then it turned and hurried up the stairs to the balcony. Figure it was looking for food. My landlady and my neighbour both have a habit of tossing bread out. I guess it is for the crows but I think squirrels will eat it also.

Thanks Kiki and don't worry. All I remember is I was in the hospital for 3 weeks and got out just a day or so before my mother's birthday which is February 27. So I know I went in around the end of January. So you are in plenty of time

Wow. I didn't know that was 30 years ago, Brenda. I thought that was much more recent.
Seems you've got a guardian angel looking out for you. I don't think there's a very long list of people who can say they've done what you've done.
Happy Anniversary... whenever that is.
(I kinda know the feeling... I'm not exactly sure when my sobriety started either, but now that it's the 6th I can safely say that it's been over 2 years.

It surprises me too, Jack.
Like to think my guardian angel is my dad. I saw his ghost when I was in the hospital.
No, the neurosurgeon said to me after 6months passed the surgery that most of the brain tumours he removes are cancerous.
No worries Jack. My memories from right around when I went into the hospital are spotty at most. I can remember pieces of the three weeks and I know how close it was to my mom's birthday when I got out of the hospital...but other than that.
