IIRC, during the length of the series, Lee Majors was able to arrange for every stuntman & woman in the guild to do a stunt on the show. Including some 97 year old guy.
I believe Lee had a great appreciation for stuntwork because on his prior series, The Six Million Dollar Man, he had to do a large amount of his own stunts if they involved bionics, because of the need for the slow-motion close-ups.

I didn’t know that. Pretty cool.

The standards of nudity for 70s TV certainly did not have in mind Digital playback capabilities.

Oh ? Care to share a screen shot ?

Original opening -- what in the actual hell ?? OMG, I don't think that was played more than once, or if it ever made it to air. I don't remember any of that, and as a teenager, that opening was clearly made for me !
I just remember the shorter version, w/ the time tunnel effect and the more ' Loveboat ' style of showing the cast of characters. Man, Erin Gray was smoke.
Fathom the hypocrisy of a government that requires every citizen to prove they are insured... but not everyone must prove they are a citizen

Quote:Care to share a screen shot of what you're talking about? I haven't been able to catch it all. Last night was the planet of only women, when they auctioned off Buck to horny women.

Much horseriding, on a Foreign planet, in a Sci-Fi show. I don't recall seeing so much braless horseriding in a while.

The original opening was for the theatrical version of the pilot, which was released in theatres months before the series premiered.

Seems a bit weird, but then, the 70's were weird AF.
And I can certainly see the James Bond type of vibe they were going for, though those girls were usually silhouettes, as I recall, and not the actual characters from the show.
Imagine the women of Firefly posing like that, in the opening credits...

Quote:Regarding cinematic release, maybe they were trying to get the jump on Star Trek, TMP.

At the time, this would have been the stellar production of SciFi, after Star Trek TV, Star Wars, maybe Planet of The Apes. Charlie's Angels had already amped up the titillation factor.

Tonight was episode 9, with Gary Coleman, Ray Walston (3 years before Mr Hand), Albert Popwell. Coleman asked for his spaceship costume and he later wore it on his other show.
They keep copying music from other series, I heard Charlie's Angels transition segue tonight.
Erin Gray is not only attractive, but keeps reminding me how wonderful the hairstyles of the 70s were. I guess now this hair would be referred to as Texas style. But it is so much hotter than the mops of the past few decades.
