Here in Illinois we hav an outrite oligark contest.

Next Monday I am going to a debate/forum with the other 2nd & 3rd tier candidates for Governor. Its not likely to be televized, but I think I mite be able to grab a bunch uv votes by keeping on messaj about stealing the state back from the oligarks.

The danjer iz getting bogged down in arguments about relatively petty issuez and looking like a know-nothing.

If I get just 1% uv the vote, it will be a victory considering I hav spent virtually nothing, wile Pritzger and Rauner and the partyz are on trak to set a world record for a Governorz rase.

Too bad my mom and stepdad live 2,000 miles away. I bet I'd be able to get them to go see it. I'll mention it to my old man and step mom, but they're pretty apolitical. I doubt they'll be attending.

Whereabouts is it located? Maybe if I feel my car is up to the job I might be able to go. That's assuming they're at least giving you a venue that's open to the public and they're not holding it in somebody's basement.

But hey, at least you're going to be able to debate. They have to put it in the papers somewhere even if they don't televise it, right?

This is just a flaw in our system that should be addressed regardless.

Either side should have subpoena power, regardless of the amount of people on either side.

McCain Institute seeks "mavericks" to vote in the in midterm election

The nonprofit named for the late Sen. John McCain is looking for "mavericks" to vote in the Nov. 6 midterm election and fight for human rights around the world. The plea comes as President Trump pursues his "America first" foreign policy.
